The control block compares the output voltage of the energy tracking system to a reference value and controls the switching of the switched elements in order to transfer energy for the primary voltage into a secondary voltage at the output of the energy tracking system. The electronic device further comprises an ON-time and OFF-time generator and an accumulator wherein the control block is coupled to receive a signal from the ON-time and OFF-time generator and generates switching signals for the at least one switching element in the form of ON-time pulses with a constant width ON-time.

The tensors modeling the underlying water diffusion in brain tissues are used to interpolate other diffusion tensors, providing higher resolution diffusion biomarker images. Each diffusion tensor is represented by a pair of elements, the one in an ‘orientation space’ and another in a ‘shape space.’ The tensors are iteratively interpolated by averaging the aforementioned elements in separate mathematical spaces. The weighted average of the shape components of the diffusion tensors is computed in closed form, which decreases the runtime.

By virtue of a metamaterial, which is used as an electromagnetic field amplifier, being made from a set of advantageously oriented conductors, it becomes possible to spatially rearrange magnetic and electric fields operated at radio frequencies. In particular, in the examined object area, the radio frequency magnetic field is resonantly amplified, which makes it possible to increase the signal/noise ratio in MRI and to obtain better quality images and/or to perform the MRI examinations more quickly as there is no need to accumulate the signal. The proposed design of the metamaterial makes it possible to distance the radio frequency electric field from the area where the examined object is located, therefore enhancing safety of MRI scanning.

The cyclic coulometer can adjust at least one of a charge time for applying the charge current, or a discharge time for applying the discharge current, to keep a monitored cell voltage toward a specific setpoint. The adjustment of charge or discharge time can be achieved by changing a current switch timing for reversing current from a first to a second current direction. The cyclic coulometer measures one or more electrical parameters during the charge or discharge cycle, and generates a performance metric using the measured electrical parameters.
