  • Patent number: 11506242
Abstract: A lock nut is useable for setting a bearing to preload or endplay. A plurality of preload markings are circumferentially spaced apart on the nut. The distance between the preload marking corresponding to a preselected amount of preload applied or reduced on said bearing when the nut is (i) tightened to apply a preload force to said bearing or (ii) loosened to reduce a preload force on said bearing, respectively. A plurality of endplay markings are also circumferentially spaced apart on the nut. The distance between the endplay markings, corresponding to a preselected amount of endplay increased or reduced in said bearing when the nut is (i) tightened to reduce endplay on the bearing or (ii) loosened to increase endplay in said bearing. The use of endplay and preload markings enables setting of a bearing on an axle or spindle to either an endplay setting or a preload setting by adjusting the rotation of the lock nut according to the endplay markings or the preload markings, respectively.

  • Patent number: 11506237
Abstract: A fittable and releasable fastener includes a head which has a fitted and released portion and a fastening portion; and a fitting and releasing piece which has a fitting and releasing portion. Accordingly, when the fitting and releasing portion fits to the fitted and released portion, an external turning force is applied to the fitting and releasing piece or the head to make the fastening portion combine with at least one object. After the fastening portion is combined with the object, the fitting and releasing portion would release the fitted and released portion to limit the force or the force interval applied on the fastening portion for preventing excessively locking if the force is continuously applied.

  • Patent number: 11499585
Abstract: A nut-and-bolt fastener is provided. The nut and bolt are configured with a plurality of interlocking teeth that provide unidirectional travel of the nut with respect to the bolt. In particular, the configuration of the teeth arrest separation of the nut from the bolt while permitting the nut to move toward the head of the bolt into a fastened engagement. The teeth are non-helical and arranged concentrically around the longitudinal axis in evenly-spaced steps or segments along the longitudinal axis and around the shaft of the bolt and bore of the nut. Integral winged washers are provided on the bolt head as well as on the nut. Variations with different rake angles of the teeth as well as an expandable nut are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11499586
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an anti-loosing bolt component capable of presetting torque and controlling disassembly, including: a nut, a bolt and a tab washer that match each other. The nut is provided with a ratchet structure, the bolt is provided with an axial groove, and the tab washer is provided with a elastic pawl matched with the ratchet structure, and a horizontal protrusion provided with a prefabricated notch and matched with the axial groove. The ratchet structure adopts a matching mode that the difference between the number of ratchets and the number of the elastic pawls is 1, so that the nut can be engaged by a very small rotation angle. The preset torque of the prefabricated notch can be set according to a safety factor. The bolt component can be accurately prevented from loosening.

  • Patent number: 11486437
Abstract: A buoyant fastener structure includes a body portion and a fastening element. The body portion has a rotation-preventing portion and a position-limiting portion. The fastening element has a position-corresponding rotation-preventing portion, a position-corresponding position-limiting portion and a fastening portion. The rotation-preventing portion and the position-corresponding rotation-preventing portion prevent each other from rotating. A rotation-preventing buoyancy level exists between the rotation-preventing portion and the position-corresponding rotation-preventing portion. The position-limiting portion corresponds in position to and limits the position of the position-corresponding position-limiting portion. Therefore, the body portion is coupled to a first object, whereas the fastening portion is coupled to or removed from a second object, so as for the first and second objects to be coupled together and separated, repeatedly and quickly.

  • Patent number: 11486433
Abstract: A self-drilling screw includes a leading section having a drill body and opposite discharge grooves formed on the drill body. The drill body and the discharge grooves meet at cutting edges. On the drill body are formed two blade portions connected to the cutting edges and tapering at respective second tips. The blade portion has a second included angle of not more than 50 degrees. Between the blade portions is formed a drilling portion terminating at a first tip and having a first included angle of not more than 60 degrees. Two opposite concave surfaces each extend from the drilling portion to each blade portion. The first tip and the second tips are situated at different places. Accordingly, the end of the leading section presents a shape of a curved bow riser to cut quickly and help quick removal of chips, thereby decreasing resistance and preventing the cracking problem.

  • Patent number: 11473610
Abstract: An anti-rotation device for a pair of threaded components includes a pair of ratchet interfaces and a spring element. A first ratchet interface and the spring element are movably disposed within a first threaded component, and a second ratchet interface is disposed at a mating end of a second threaded component. During relative rotation of the pair of threaded components, the ratchet interfaces engage, providing a resistance to the threaded components loosening that is greater than a resistance that the ratchet interfaces provide to the threaded components tightening. The anti-rotation device engages automatically upon relative rotation of the threaded components, and not as a separate step occurring after rotation. Additionally, the anti-rotation device may be especially useful in systems where various types of movement can cause the threaded components to loosen, and where visual access to the anti-rotation device is impeded.
