Abstract: An openable and closable safety container for a hazardous material is provided. The safety container comprises a container part, a lid part coupled to the container part, and a safety locking part installed in the lid part such that the lid part is opened or closed upward after being turned. The lid part is turned horizontally to unlock the locked state and pushed upward to open the lid part. Therefore, the safety container is very safe.

Abstract: A container apparatus and a method for using the container apparatus is disclosed. The disclosed apparatus can be implemented in a wide variety of ways, including but not limited to that of a food or beverage container. The container apparatus can include a lid and a body that are integral to each other.

Abstract: A two piece clamping ring and lever system for retaining removable lids to containers comprises a split circular ring. The ring first end includes outwardly extending receiving hooks. The second end of the ring includes pivot bosses comprising a pivot shaft and enlarged button. A lever with pivot shafts engages with the ring first end. When the lever is closed contact surfaces on an inwardly projecting transverse beam on the underside of the lever and outwardly projecting beams on the ring first end engage to relieve stresses on the lever pivot shafts and ring first end pivot receiving hooks. A second stress transfer relationship is engaged as an inwardly facing transverse beam extending between the sidewalls of the second end is slideably engaged into corresponding receiving channels outwardly facing from the ring first end thereby relieving stresses on the pivot bosses and corresponding longitudinally extending lever bearing surface.

Abstract: A container, a lid, a combination of the two, and a method of using the same is disclosed. The container has a base and a sidewall extending upward from the base forming a continuous sidewall around the base. The upper portion of the sidewall has a rim and a skirt around the perimeter. The skirt has a removable tear tab to allow access to a lid for removing the lid from the container. The lid also has vents for air to exit the container, thereby preventing rising of the lid in low pressure areas. The vents further prevent entry of air into the container when the sealed container is taken to areas of higher pressure. A method of filling the container leaving an air gap between the product and the lid and utilizing the aforementioned vents is also provided.

Abstract: A reclosable bag for filling with at least one food product. The reclosable bag generally includes at least one sheet of web material having at least two areas of structural weakness. At least one fold structure is located between and defined by the two areas of structural weakness. An opening is located generally opposite the fold structure. The reclosable bag further includes a reclosable fastener structure having an integral skirt structure of skirt web material extending therefrom. The integral skirt structure includes a distal margin. The distal margin is coupled to the web material at, at least one location between the areas of structural weakness and the opening. The reclosable fastener structure extends past the areas of structural weakness and into the fold structure. The reclosable bag capable of being filled with at least one food product through the opening.

Abstract: A tamper-indicating closure that includes a base wall having a cylindrical skirt for removably engaging a container finish. A tamper band is frangibly connected to the skirt, and a plurality of wings extend inwardly from an inner surface of the tamper band for engagement with a container finish. The wings are resiliently flexibly connected to the inner surface of the band along lines that are disposed at a counterclockwise angle with respect to the axis of the skirt as viewed from inside the skirt.

Abstract: A maze type package that includes a cylindrical container member that has a plurality of mazes thereon is disclosed. The package includes a coaxial closure member that employs studs for engaging the mazes and to releasably secure the closure to the container.

Abstract: A straw holder for vertically supporting a drinking straw in the mouth of a bottle containing a beverage to be consumed and for limiting vertical movement of the straw with respect to the bottle. The straw holder includes a straw support portion dimensioned for placement across the mouth of the bottle and having an aperture defined in the straw support. The aperture receives the drinking straw so that the straw is disposed through the aperture with a leading edge of the straw positioned in the bottle in communication with the beverage. The aperture is dimensioned for adjustably maintaining a vertical position of the leading edge of the straw in the bottle once a desired vertical position is selected. The straw holder also includes a bottle retaining portion coupled to the straw support portion for maintaining the position of the straw support across the mouth of the bottle. The bottle retaining portion includes at least one turn dimensioned for engaging the neck of the bottle.

Abstract: A self-opening closure includes a pouring sport, a screw cap and a self-opening cylinder, which is disposed inside the pouring spout and can be set rotating by the screw cap. The self-opening cylinder has three combined piercing and cutting elements with the interior having three molded elements, evenly distributed and extending toward the center of the cylinder, which have a nail shank and a nail head. The nail shank and the nail head of each element acts as a guide for one of the three cylinder wall segments located on the interior of the cap, concentrically to the axis of rotation of the cap. The screw cap is connected to a retaining element by at least two material bridges extending non-radially in relation thereto that are configured as predetermined breaking points. The retaining element engages with a flange on the pouring spout.

Abstract: An attachable closure device for reclosing contains a base member, a resilient expandable band coupled to and extending from the base member, an adhesive layer on a surface of the base member, and a release agent on the adhesive layer. The release agent is housed in a coating on a release support layer, which may be coupled to the base member and unitary with the base member. The resilient, expandable band may be coupled and retained to the attachable closure device solely by a portion of the unitary base member-release support layer.

Abstract: A dispensing closure system is provided for a container that has an opening to the container interior. The preferred embodiment of the system includes a closure having a closure body for extending from the container at the container opening and a lid hingedly attached to the closure body. The closure body has a dispensing spout, and the lid includes a hollow spud for entering the spout. A spud rim can be provided on the spud, extending inwardly towards the hollow interior of the spud. A lid rim can additionally or alternatively be provided on the inside surface of the lid, positioned within the hollow interior of the spud.

Abstract: A child resistant closure having an outer cap and an inner cap each of which has a base wall on a peripheral skirt with sets of lugs on the inner surface of the outer closure member and on the outer surface of the inner closure member which are adapted to be engaged when the members are moved axially toward one another. The outer surface of the inner cap is provided with a plurality of vents to allow for increased evacuation of fluid between the inner and outer cap.

Abstract: An externally threaded closure plug for tightly closing off the internally threaded opening in shipping and storage containers such as drums, pails and the like. The plug is formed as a cup having a bottom wall and threaded cylindrical sidewall terminating in a circumferentially enlarged rim. Immediately beneath the rim of the plug is a gasket seat defined by the undersurface of the plug rim, the plug sidewall and an annular gasket retaining lip lying in a plane parallel to the undersurface of the plug rim. In use, the plug is screwed into and out of a container wall opening, having an internally threaded portion and an unthreaded portion, the sealing gasket being compressed between the unthreaded opening portion and the plug gasket seat and lying in close proximity to the internal thread. The gasket seat acts to prevent interengagement of the sealing gasket and the opening internally threaded portion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a bottle, which contains two kinds of materials separately in two spaces in a bottle body and communicates the separated spaces with each other as necessary so that the two materials can be mixed together. This bottle has a bottle body having a mouth; an additive storage container including an insertion part inserted into the mouth, an exposed part exposed outside the mouth; an additive storage container including an insertion part inserted into the mouth, an exposed part exposed outside the mouth and an additive storage space defined therein; an opening unit tightened to the mouth; and separation means for separating the additive storage container from the bottle body.

Abstract: A cap may include a threaded inner body and an outer cover. A ratchet mechanism may be operatively positioned between the inner body and the outer cover to directly transmit rotation from the outer cover to the inner body in the cap-unthreading direction and to transmit no more than a predetermined amount of torque from the outer cover to the inner body in the cap-threading direction. A gauge assembly may include a float, an indicator dial, and a pointer. The float is supportable at a level of fluid within the container, and the pointer is movable in response to movement of the float with the level of fluid in the container. The pointer cooperates with the indicator dial to indicate the level of fluid in the container. A translucent crystal may be positioned over the indicator dial and the pointer. The crystal may be fixed relative to the inner body.

Abstract: A lid for securing to the brim of a container, the lid including a container closure having a disk shaped member with a periphery for mating with the brim of the container. The periphery includes annular inner and outer side walls with at least one annular rib disposed on each of the inner and outer side walls. The ribs of the annular walls form a gripping area to secure the lid to the container for preventing leaks and accidental spillage. A top wall interconnects the inner and outer side walls and includes visual cues for viewing the brim of the container when the lid is affixed to the brim. The lid additionally includes a pronounced wedge shaped sipping spout projecting upwards from the container closure. The container closure includes a circular indented channel for stacking one lid covered cup over another with additional stability provided by the sipping spout.

Abstract: An improved spill-proof cup, such as a “sippy cup.” The sippy cup has an internal partition that is angled toward the mouth of the sippy cup to decrease the amount of tilt required to dispense the entirety of the liquid from the sippy cup, thus improving comfort for the infant using the sippy cup while also teaching good drinking habits that can be applied to an adult type cup.

Abstract: A bottle closure includes the unitarily-molded combination of: an internally-threaded sidewall; a tamper indicator ring; and a hinge connecting the ring to the sidewall. The hinge permits the ring to be shifted from an initial position to an installation position. The installation position is essentially coaxially aligned with the sidewall.

Abstract: A container including a bottom and a plurality of walls that form a storage cavity. A primary lid is disposed over the storage cavity. The primary lid includes a top surface that defines a dispenser portion through which items within the storage cavity may be dispensed. A dispenser lid is pivotally attached to the primary lid. The dispenser lid has a closed position in which the dispenser lid is pivoted downwards relative to the primary lid to cover the dispenser portion and an open position in which the dispenser lid is pivoted upwards relative to the primary lid to expose the dispenser portion. The dispenser lid includes a pivot end portion and an opposite free end portion, and a biasing pin extending from the pivot end portion. The biasing pin has a longitudinal end portion anchored to the primary lid so that the biasing pin urges the dispenser lid towards the open position. The biasing pin and a main dispenser lid portion are formed as a unitary structure.
