  • Patent number: 11833994
Abstract: A pet safety restraint device is provided that restrains pets transported in a vehicle. The pet safety device has a retractable leash built into or attached to it. The retractable leash is attachable to a pet harness that can be worn by the pet. The pet safety device provides the pet with a limited range of movement within the vehicle. When an inertial force is exerted on the vehicle and the passengers and the pet in the vehicle, the pet safety restraint device includes a ball housed within the pet safety restraint device that lodges within a gap between teeth of a rotating gear piece in the pet safety restraint device. The retractable leash is locked in place, thus pulling back on the pet and preventing the pet from crashing in the vehicle or being thrown out of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11834287
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for improved turn-up procedures on a paper making machine that include a flexible portion of a turn-up tape track and movement of a track curve portion to avoid interference with threading a paper web to a spool. A transverse turn-up tape track may be extended across a first spool to a track curve and the track curve may be set at a lower position that does not interfere with a paper web during threading, and subsequently repositioned to a position from which a turn-up position may be performed. The paper web threading leader may continue to be wound around the first spool until a full width of the paper web has been spooled onto the first spool. The transverse turn-up tape track may be maintained essentially stationary relative to the first spool.

  • Patent number: 11801612
Abstract: A measuring device is releasably received within a winding core of a customer roll wound on a slitter-winder (10). The measuring device (20) is releasably fastened within the winding core by fastening element(s) (21) securing the device to the winding core (10) for rotation during winding of the fiber web around the winding core to form the customer roll. Eccentricity of the customer roll as it is wound is determined from movement, speed and/or acceleration data received from at least two sensors of the measuring device and data is stored for use in unwinding the fiber web from the customer roll and serving as control information. Tension variations in unwinding can thus be anticipated and premeditative steps taken to ensure smooth running of the fiber web in unwinding in further processing.

  • Patent number: 11794688
Abstract: A vehicle sensitive retractor control system having reduced sensitivity to Z-axis acceleration experienced during normal driving. The retractor control system incorporates a rolling mass and a locking lever which, in a resting position, are arranged such that the locking lever does not engage a ratchet wheel of a seat belt retractor spool. In response to accelerations in the horizontal plane, the rolling ball mass becomes unseated from its resting position and allows the locking lever to rotate due to the position of its center of gravity relative to its pivot point allowing it to pivot and lock the retractor. In response to Z-axis acceleration, the rolling mass is prevented from contacting the locking lever by a mass restrictor.
