  • Patent number: 9645521
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus including multiple light emitting elements, upon receiving an instruction from a user to execute correction (first correction) of a phase shift due to a shift in the relative positions of an optical scanning apparatus and the photosensitive member, a CPU executes correction (second correction) of a phase shift due to temperature change in the image forming apparatus. Thereafter, the CPU performs image formation control such that a phase adjustment image is formed on a recording medium, and determines a phase adjustment value based on an adjustment value input by the user. The CPU sets the phase adjustment value in the optical scanning apparatus to correct the phase shift. Thus, when the first correction is to be executed, the CPU executes the second correction before executing the first correction.

  • Patent number: 9555643
Abstract: The present invention is to eliminate loosening of a transfer film on a rear end side of a card caused due to collision of a front end of the card against a conveying roller pair provided downstream of a transfer roller to prevent wrinkles from occurring in a transferred image. A rotation amount of a card conveying motor SMr and a wind amount of a transfer film 46 (conveying amount of the transfer film) are compared after a front end of a card K rushes into a conveying roller pair 37 during transfer processing for the card K to thereby detect a slip amount of the card K. A card conveying speed and a transfer film feed speed are controlled in accordance with the detected slip amount so as to eliminate loosening of the transfer film 46.

  • Patent number: 9551954
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided that can adjust an inclination deviation even after a laser scanner unit and a photosensitive drum are embedded. A CPU 601 selects at least two screen angles from among screen angles, and generates image signals corresponding to the respective selected at least two screen angles, based on these angles. The CPU 601 causes light emitting elements to emit light beams at different emission timings with reference to a timing on which a BD 803 detects the light beam, based on a generated image signal, thereby forming latent images of test images on a photosensitive drum. The latent images formed on the photosensitive drum are developed, and test images are formed on a recording medium.

  • Patent number: 9500980
Abstract: An image forming apparatus capable of controlling an amount of light beam to be a target value even when an emission characteristic of a light source varies. A photosensitive member is exposed to the light beam emitted form a light source. A light receiving element receives the light beam. Voltage for prescribing the driving current is set in a voltage setting unit. A voltage control unit controls the voltage so that the light amount of the light beam received by the light receiving element becomes a target light amount. A determination unit determines a correction parameter for correcting the voltage based on at least the voltage set in the voltage setting unit. A correction unit corrects the voltage set in the voltage setting unit with the correction parameter. A current supply unit supplies a driving current corresponding to the corrected voltage to the light source based on image data.
