Abstract: A headrest comprising an external surface surrounding an interior and a deployable neck support including: a non-deployed position wherein the deployable neck support is disposed in the interior; and a deployed position wherein the deployable neck support extends out of the interior and is configured to support a neck of an occupant of a seating assembly incorporating the headrest. The headrest includes a housing disposed in the interior. In the non-deployed position, the deployable neck support is housed within the housing. In the deployed position, a primary neck support section of the deployable neck support extends out of the housing. The deployable neck support can further include an inboard lateral neck support and an outboard lateral neck support, each having an enclosed position and an extended position. In the enclosed position, the inboard lateral neck support and outboard lateral neck support are housed within the primary neck support section.

Abstract: A hair cover device and pillow protector to contain moisture and oils on the hair of a wearer's head. The Hair and Pillow Protector (HaPP), a multi-layer hair covering to protect hair from breakage, maintain moisture and oils applied to the hair while also preventing moisture, water and oils from saturating, damaging, staining or wetting a pillowcase, pillow, bed linens, seat headrest, etc. upon which a wearer rests a head. A fastening mechanism for adjustably securing the HaPP to the head of a wearer and an attachment mechanism on the hair covering in order to secure an additional head cover, such as a hat or wig, to the HaPP hair covering which allows the HaPP to be worn inside or outside during any general activity.
Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a seat pan and a backrest. The seat pan and the backrest are positionable with respect to one another such that the seat is configurable into at least one of a taxi, takeoff and landing position, a napping position, and a sleeping position. A swivel is disposed beneath and supporting the seat, permitting the seat to rotate about a pivotal axis. Base tracking is disposed beneath and supporting the seat, permitting the seat to move in a lateral and a longitudinal direction. A first control is provided to lock and unlock movement of the seat in at least one of the lateral and the longitudinal directions. A second control is provided to lock and unlock the swivel. The swivel is permitted to be unlocked while movement of the seat in the lateral and the longitudinal direction is locked.

Abstract: Travel sleeping aids for assisting a seated traveler to sleep in a forward leaning seated position toward a passenger seat in front of the seated traveler, the passenger seat having a headrest. In one implementation, a travel sleeping aid includes a U-shaped head support having a face contoured aperture for supporting the seated traveler's head in a forward leaning seated position and a support structure rotatable with respect to the U-shaped head support between a storage position flush with the U-shaped head support and a head support position generally perpendicular to the U-shaped head support. In another embodiment, a hanging travel sleeping aid includes a generally rectangular shaped head support having a passenger seat headrest pocket for being snugly placed on a passenger seat's headrest in front of a seated traveler and a head support panel for supporting the seated traveler's head in his forward leaning seated position.

Abstract: The Mobile Dental Intelligence Center (MobiDIC) will roll up alongside the patient's Bedside or Chairside where Oral Hygiene can be performed by the patient's Caregiver, with no need to have a sink or basin in the area. Using the MobiDIC the Caregiver will be able to brush the patient's teeth, rinse and suction the patient's mouth at the Bedside or Chairside; also the Caregiver will monitor the patients Vital Signs. The unit's unique cylindrical design makes it easy for the Caregiver to wipe clean and disinfect the unit. The air, water, suction and power supply hoses are internal to the unit reducing cord entanglement and trip hazards. The MobiDIC allows the Caregiver the ability to easily connect various medical monitoring devices including Intra and Extra Oral Cameras capturing images of the patient's mouth inside and the patient's general appearance. All MobiDIC innovations will facilitate assessing the patient's current general health.
Abstract: Transfer ramp for Car to wheelchair. This new design safely helps transfer someone from or to the car or wheelchair. This design is self-supporting between the lower structure of the car seat, car structure under the door, the outboard floor riser ledge of car structure under the door and the rear vertical support column of the door frame. It is only supported from the car side. The person can actually sit on the edge of the board before sliding over to the wheelchair. It is more of a platform than a transfer board. It is more fixed than a standard transfer board that is commonly available on most of the market. This design minimizes the 12? gap that exists between the car seat and wheel chair when using a standard transfer board.
Abstract: An integrated comfort item for a vehicle seat. Such comfort items include but are not limited to a blanket, pajamas or onesie stored on a roller that is mounted within an enclosure of the vehicle seat arm. The comfort item such as a blanket may be unrolled by the user when sitting in the vehicle seat. Upon conclusion of the journey, the user may then actuate the spring in the roller and roll the comfort item back onto the roller to store in the vehicle seat arm enclosure for future use.

Abstract: A tablet stand is disclosed which incorporates a near field antenna configuration which couples to a near field antenna in the back of a tablet and provides a near field antenna coupling region for near field communication at the front of the tablet. The stand may be completely passive and use conductive antenna elements and passive resonance matching circuit elements to provide efficient coupling. In another aspect a thin profile passive keyboard adapted for use with a near field enabled tablet is provided. In another aspect a mounting bracket or holder, embedded antenna, and passive keyboard combination is provided adapted for converting a tablet into a notebook type configuration.
