Abstract: The present development is a pet toy with a hidden cavity for a treat or similar enticement for the pet. The hidden cavity is preferably enclosed within a plunger-type device so the pet must extract the plunger to retrieve the treat.

Abstract: A reusable, portable campfire cover is disclosed herein. In its most basic configuration, the cover device (10) comprises three partial-conical panels, which are identified as a door panel (22), a first side panel (24), and a second side panel (26). Door panel (22) includes a handle (28). Each panel has a slot (30) and finger (32) feature in its base. Each panel has an aperture (34) or hole (36) near its top. The aperture (34) or hole (36) features are able to accept connectors, preferably an “S” hook connector (44). Cover device (10) is meant to be used in conjunction with a typical, independent tripod campfire device (20), which can be found in the prior art and in the consumer marketplace.

Abstract: This invention, pertaining to hospital bed, is a new concept development for automation of services for bedridden patients in the variety of environments. The novelty introduced here is the use of robotic arms affixed on hospital type bed that operates by an electric keypad on the bed side or virtually from a remote location, i.e. a nursing station in the case of a hospital stay. The best mode of operation for this invention would be hospitals, home health care or other health care facilities and settings. This invention is a ground-breaking solution for healing the shortage of trained staff in the health care system.

Abstract: Disclosed is a headrest fore-aft position adjuster including a displaceable body which receives load of an occupant's head and which displaces in a fore-aft direction with respect to a headrest pillar and a lock mechanism which locks and unlocks the displaceable body at a plurality of positions along the fore-aft direction, and the lock mechanism includes an engaging part which displaces in the fore-aft direction integrally with the displaceable body, a plurality of engaged part which is provided along a trajectory of the engaging part and which the engaging part is engaged with in a locked state and the engaging part is configured to engage with the engaged parts from a lateral position.

Abstract: An inter-advertainment is an inter-active entertainment that relates to services of a business. A customer can play and win the inter-advertainment while waiting at the business. The inter-advertainment identifies images of objects at the business for the customer to find. The inter-advertainment has one or more playing levels with one or more instances of the inter-advertainment selected randomly. In order to win, the customer must correctly identify each object that correctly matches each of a corresponding image of the same object. The customer must take a still image of the matching objects and upload them via the Internet to an inter-advertainment engine. The inter-advertainment advances to a next image when the received image correctly matches a corresponding image of the same object. When the customer correctly matches all images, the customer is given the wining prize.

Abstract: A bariatric chair for use in easing the ingress and egress of bariatric patients from medical furniture includes a platform mounted within a cavity defined by the chair base. The platform includes a pair of pistons and a pair of legs each pivotably attached to a rectangular base that is stored in a retracted position within the base when not in use but drops down when engaged to lift the chair vertically. Due to the pistons extending beyond the legs, the pivotable nature of the attachment creates a rotation of approximately fifteen degrees (15°) in the chair base, assisting the bariatric patient when trying to exit the chair. A method of lifting the chair is also provided.

Abstract: The exhaust vent cover produces a few purposes: The exhausting of air, heat, dust, lint, fumes and other unwanted elements from the dwelling's interior to the dwelling's exterior. 1) Provides a mechanical way of preventing outside air, dirt etc. from entering the interior space/area by utilizing a mechanical flap that swings outward by air pressure, electrical motor or pneumatic control hooked to an on/off control switch. 2) Prevents birds, rodents and other small critters from entering the interior space/area. This exhaust cover is designed in three (3) parts: First part: is a molded plastic or metal hood cover with slots on sides. Second part: is an attachable frame with metal spikes surrounding the opening of the hood cover. Third part: a backdraft cover that opens outward can be made of metal or plastic, this cover which attaches with a hinge like mechanism at the top inside opening of the exhaust vent cover.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method comprises a housing comprising at least a recessed area and an inner wall. A plurality of plates are disposed within the housing and configured to form a structure. The structure has an outside surface. The structure is capable of being articulated between a first configuration and a second configuration and a third configuration. A plurality of connecting rods are joined to the plurality of plates to form the structure and to at least in part articulate the structure. The connecting rods are movable to form the first configuration to enable a gas to flow from the recessed area to the outside surface. The plurality of connecting rods are further movable to form the second configuration, wherein at least a portion of the gas is compressed between the outside surface and the inner wall and then to the third configuration.

Abstract: This invention pertains to advanced medical walker that provides tremendous safety to the users of the medical walker. The novelty introduced here is the addition of the foldable seat pads and safety legs to the medical walker to protect the user from falling down in an uncontrollable situation or fatigue condition, wherein falling down and its resulting traumatic injuries is a serious concern for the users who are in the low-energy state, or are without the accompany of a caring attendance. This invention addresses this concern. There is a wide variety of operation for this invention; this walker can be used in any private or public place such as private homes, hospitals, nursing homes, medical care centers, and alike.

Abstract: A cushion for supporting a user relative to a support surface is provided. The cushion has material with sufficient flexibility to deform under a weight of the user and sufficient resilience to return to its original state when the weight is removed. A supporting face contacts the support surface and is characterized by a plurality of points. The supporting face is contoured such that, when the cushion is in an unloaded configuration, a first subset of the plurality of points contact the support surface and a second subset of the plurality of points do not contact the support surface. When a user then sits on the cushion so that it is in a loaded configuration, at least some of the points in the second subset are displaced under the user's weight and contact the support surface. The cushion thus both bends and compresses to distribute the weight of the user.

Abstract: The Motorcycle Operator Endurance Seat-Off Road (MOESOF) is a layered mesh like structure of straps that when installed over an existing off road motorcycle style seat provides additional width to better support a seated rider. The straps are spaced apart and attached together only at the points the straps cross each other. The middle layer of straps is sewn into loops that capture and hold two structural foam seating components, one each on the left and right. These cylinders are suspended alongside the sides of an existing motorcycle seat, the top of the cylinders roughly parallel to the top of the existing seat. When a load is applied by a seated rider the straps firm up under tension caused by the foam wanting to deform under compression. When not under load the structure articulates in place, deflecting out of the way from horizontal rider contact, returning when contact ends.

Abstract: A guard for a rotatable or swivel seat includes a first generally planar surface and an opposing second generally planar surface. The first and second surfaces define an inner peripheral edge that surrounds a central opening. A skirt extends generally perpendicularly from the first and second surfaces. The skirt generally surrounds and is spaced radially outwardly from the inner peripheral edge. The guard includes a plurality of equidistantly spaced-apart fastener points formed on or in at least one of the first and second surfaces. Each fastener point is spaced radially outwardly from the inner peripheral edge and radially inwardly from the skirt. The guard is attachable to a platform of a seat in both a first configuration wherein the skirt of the guard extends away from the platform of the seat and a second configuration wherein the guard is inverted from the first configuration.

Abstract: A system of controlling various actuators associated with human support surfaces is disclosed. Such a system is made up of a support surface, a controller, and an actuator. The system may optionally include batteries, a means of charging the batteries, and a graphical user interface as well as a communication link between the graphical user interface and the support surfaces. The actuators are capable of altering contour and/or firmness, of a support surface, they may be vibrational or heating/cooling in nature, and they may also alter the overall relative position of a support surface to another support surface, and/or to the ground plane.

Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a seat pan, where the seat pan front edge defines a first pivot point and the seat pan rear edge defines a second pivot point. A swivel is disposed beneath and supporting the seat, permitting the seat to rotate about a pivotal axis. First and second armrests are disposed on either side of the seat pan. A first control is positioned in the first armrest to lock and unlock movement of the seat in at least one of lateral and longitudinal directions. A second control is positioned in the second armrest to lock and unlock at least the swivel.
