An injection window guides a caregiver's injection placement to a relatively small area while allowing standard injection procedures to be followed, such as stretching the skin and puncturing the site with a jabbing motion. The injection analgesia system has a needle shield and an analgesia, which are layered together and applied to a skin surface. A needle shield window and a analgesia window align to form the injection window. Advantageously, the needle shield may fold and/or wrap around the injection needle for sharp object protection during and after needle disposal.

The rotational sensor is configured to generate a signal in response to the movement of the movable element over the surface features during their rotation. A controller is operatively coupled to the rotational sensor, and in response to receiving the generated signal, the controller is configured to determine a number of the surface features passing the movable element of the rotational sensor during dose delivery. The number can be associated with an amount of dose delivered. Sensing can be provided in a module or integrated in device.

The folding wing further comprises a retaining anchor. When the folding wing is folded down, the retaining anchor inserts into a locking slot on the forward end of the box, thereby preventing the lid from being removed off the box. Also disclosed are methods for using the catheter enclosure device.
