  • Patent number: 6312284
Abstract: In an improved structure for a connector of a cigarette lighting device of cars, a lateral end of an electrically conductive elastic plate projecting slightly from an outer peripheral side of a jack is provided with a vertically depressed slide groove, which is provided with a recessed or bulging oblique face in a suitable position. A rear end of a housing of the jack is provided with annular threads. The slide groove is insertably provided with a push block that matches a bottom side of a groove hole of the slide groove and that is capable of filling a depression of the slide groove. The push block has a flange or recessed groove at a rear end. The threads at the rear end of the housing of the jack threadedly engage a turning nut. The turning nut has a front end provided with a recessed groove or a flange for inter-engagement with the flange or recessed groove of the push block. The housing of the jack is inserted into an insert hole of the cigarette lighting device of a car.

  • Patent number: 6302732
Abstract: A coaxial connector having a conductive copper wire core plated with a layer of gold with the layer of gold surrounded by a dielectric layer, such as polyimide. The layer of polyimide is surrounded by a conductive shielding layer, such as copper, with a tin-plated layer surrounding it. Connection of the coaxial connector at one end to adjacent signal and ground pads is achieved by laser ablation to expose a section of gold sufficient to accommodate the terminal pad pitch and allow wire bonding to the signal pad. Connection of the conductive shielding layer to the ground pad is achieved by hot tip soldering. Connection at the opposite end of the coaxial connector uses the same process.

  • Patent number: 6299467
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulated housing having a top wall formed with a top opening, a first terminal having a first solder tail projecting outwardly from the housing and a first contact part in contact with the housing, and a second terminal having a second solder tail projecting outwardly from the housing and a spring arm connected to and extending above the second solder tail. The spring arm has a second contact part disposed below and aligned with the first contact part, and a U-shaped bent portion projecting into the top opening. The second contact part is movable between a first position, in which the second contact part is urged by the spring arm to make contact with the first contact part, and a second position, in which the second contact part is moved away from the first contact part when the U-shaped bent portion is pressed downwardly.

  • Patent number: 6254427
Abstract: A grommet adapted to be placed through an aperture in a work surface, such as a desk. A lip, with a diameter larger than the aperture in the work surface, is located at the top of the housing, or body of the grommet, so that the lip rests over the aperture in the desk while the housing of the grommet passes through the aperture, so that the great majority of the grommet lies below the surface of the work surface. The grommet contains a plurality of electrical plugs and/or a plurality of data modular couplers for communication terminals so that power and communications wires may be passed over the lip of the grommet and down into the housing to be connected inside of the grommet. The grommet has a power wire connected near the base of the grommet, for connection to a power source, such as a wall plug. Communication and data wires connect to a communication source, such as a telephone plug.
