In another embodiment, a method for generating statistics about encapsulated packets within a virtual overlay network includes creating statistics about overlay-encapsulated packets which are received by or sent by each overlay-capable device in an overlay network, accumulating the statistics for each overlay-capable device through which the overlay-encapsulated packets passed, and storing the statistics in an accessible manner.

Abstract: A mechanism for virtual machine resource reduction for live migration optimization is disclosed. A method of the invention includes monitoring a rate of state change of a virtual machine (VM) undergoing a live migration, determining that the rate of state change of the VM exceeds a rate of state transfer of the VM during the live migration process, and adjusting one or more resources of the VM to decrease the rate of state change of the VM to be less than the rate of state transfer of the VM.

Abstract: A peer in a peer-to-peer network joins an advertisement room having an associated identifier. A joining peer identifies a peer closest to the advertisement room. In various embodiments, the peer that is closest to the advertising room is the peer having a discreet hash table ID closest to the advertisement room identifier. The joining peer requests from the closest peer information about peers that the closest peer knows to be part of the advertisement room. The closest peer provides the joining peer with connection information for those peers, and the joining peer establishes connections with the peers. Peers in the advertisement room provide advertisements for chat rooms. To join a chat room, a peer determines which of its peers in the advertisement room is the closest peer to the chat room, based on the chat room identifier, and informs that peer that it is now part of the chat room.

Abstract: A method for managing message distribution in a networked computing environment. The method includes determining, for a particular topic, at least a first subscriber messaging engine and a second subscriber messaging engine to receive a topic message. The method includes determining that the first subscriber messaging engine is to act as a cache for the second subscriber messaging engine. The method then includes sending a reference message to the second subscriber messaging engine, the reference message being able to be used to retrieve the topic message from the first subscriber messaging engine.

Abstract: A metadata server configured to maintain storage assignment mappings in non-persistent storage is described herein. The tract storage assignment mappings associate servers with storage assignments, the storage assignments representing the data stored on the servers. Responsive to a failure, the metadata server receives the storage assignments from the servers and rebuilds the storage assignment mappings from the storage assignments. The metadata server is also configured to enable clients to operate during a recovery process for a failed server by providing the storage assignment mappings to the clients during the recovery process. Also during the recovery process, the replacement server for the failed server conditionally overwrites stored data with other data received from other servers as part of the recovery process.

The network computing provider may further provide co-interaction data to the client computing devices for display. The co-interaction data may represent interactions of one or more users with the representations of content displayed at the user's respective client computing devices. This method implements the policy and charging control on multiple PDN connections established to one APN in the roaming scenarios of the home routed and local breakout.

Abstract: A home appliance monitoring system includes: a plurality of home systems respectively including a central managing device configured to collect monitoring information from a home appliance; and a center server connected to the central managing device of each home system. The center server calculates the current load amount, and sends an activating instruction signal or a deactivating instruction signal to each central managing device on the basis of the current load amount. The central managing device sets its communication status to an activated status in response to receiving the activating instruction signal, and sets its communication status to a deactivated status in response to receiving the deactivating instruction signal. The home system stores the monitoring information while the communication status is the deactivated status. The home system sends the stored monitoring information to the center server when the communication status is switched from the deactivated status to the activated status.

Abstract: A method and system for managing an alarm of an outsourced part and a method for managing configuration information of an outsourced part are provided, so as to solve the problem in the prior art that the maintenance operation in a Business Operation Support System (BOSS) for the alarm function of the outsourced part is complex. Abstract: A method is provided for client side management of a client-server HTTP session comprising: sending by a client browser to a server an initial HTTP request; receiving by the browser from the server an initial HTTP response that includes a markup language document, a session identifier and a termination address; creating an iframe within the received initial document; targeting one or more hyperlink objects within the received initial document to the iframe; monitoring for an occurrence of closing the browser or changing an location to which the browser is addressed; and in response to an occurrence of one of the actions, sending by the browser an HTTP request that includes the session identifier to the termination address.

Abstract: A virtualized computer system implements a process to migrate a virtual machine (VM) from a source host to a destination host. During this process, a processing unit at the source host, which is executing instructions of the VM, is scheduled so that the rate of modification of guest physical memory pages is reduced. The determination of when to schedule the processing unit in this manner may be made based on a current rate of modification of the pages, a transmission rate of guest physical memory pages from the source host to the destination host, or a prior VM migration performance.

Abstract: In a method for processing top-up data, a server (8) receives data related to a request for issuing an NFC application (9). The data were sent by an NFC mobile device (3) and are intended for a Service Provider (2). At the server (8) transformed data are generated by transforming the data related to the request into a format complying with the Server Provider (2). The transformed data are sent to the Service Provider (2) for further processing and issuing the NFC application (9) to the mobile device (3) particularly utilizing a Trusted Service Manager (1).
