  • Patent number: 6105515
Abstract: A device for enabling oil spill waste materials to be incinerated in situ is provided. More specifically, the invention comprises an incinerator for reducing to ashes, used oil spill sorbent pads, oilsocks, and other materials employed in cleaning up oil spills. The device consists essentially of a stainless steel drum lid and flue secured thereto, with a dome screen mounted on the flue. The outlet of a stainless steel tube is formed into a spiral coil and deployed in the flue with the end thereof turned downward into the drum to cause a continuous circulating action in the drum which action provides fast, complete or substantially complete combustion of the materials with little pollution and leaving a residue of only a few inches of ashes. The device is carried on a hand truck and the blower motor is contained in a housing which is fastened to the hand truck.

  • Patent number: 5957066
Abstract: In a fluidized-bed thermal reaction apparatus for burning or gasifying combustible matter containing incombustible components, deposition of incombustible components in a fluidized-bed furnace is prevented, and incombustible components are smoothly removed, thereby efficiently burning or gasifying combustible matter. The fluidized-bed thermal reaction apparatus has a weak diffusion plate, a strong diffusion plate, and an auxiliary diffusion plate, each having a large number of fluidizing gas feed holes, and an incombustible component outlet disposed between the auxiliary diffusion plate and the strong diffusion plate. A part of fluidizing gas is supplied from the incombustible component outlet, or the incombustible component outlet is provided to open horizontally. Thus, a continuous fluidized bed circulating stream is formed in the furnace bottom. The weak and auxiliary diffusion plates each has a downwardly inclined surface extending toward the incombustible component outlet.

  • Patent number: 5918479
Abstract: Disclosed is a refrigerator having a device for dispersing cool air in a cooling compartment. A duct having cool air discharge ports is formed in an inner wall of the compartment. In the duct are installed a horizontal-dispersing blade disposed along a vertical rotational shaft, and a vertical-dispersing blade capable of rotating with respect to a horizontal axis. A worm gear in installed on the shaft, and a worm wheel engaged with the worm gear is installed on the vertical-dispersing blade. As the shaft is rotated by a motor, the blades rotate. Thus, the cool air is uniformly dispersed in the compartment, and the temperature in the compartment is maintained uniform. The angular position of the blades are controlled independently of each other substantially, so concentrative cooling can be performed easily.

  • Patent number: 5910159
Abstract: A refrigerating cycle apparatus for averting shortages of its refrigerant in a refrigerating cycle and of oil reflux regardless of fluctuations in the progress of freezing in a cold accumulating material. In operation, two solenoid valves are opened and a compressor is activated. The activated compressor causes stagnant refrigerant inside a cold accumulating evaporator to be collected into a receiver. Thereafter, one solenoid valve is closed to let the refrigerant flow only to the cold accumulating evaporator. This makes it possible to circumvent shortages of the refrigerant in the refrigerating cycle and of oil reflux irrespective of varying progress in the freezing status of the cold accumulating material.
