The information detected by the sensor is stored as user data and transmitted to a remote electronic device, wherein a graphical user interface (GUI) displays the user data.

A location of the leak within the irrigation network is determined based at least upon data gathered by the mobile sensing units while it is deployed in the irrigation network. An alert about the leak is sent in response to determining the location of the leak.
