The primary unit may include a first power supply, a processor powered by the first power supply, a second power supply, and a speaker powered by the second power supply and controlled by the processor. The secondary unit may include a vibration generation device powered by the second power supply and controlled by the processor, and a pressure generation device powered by the second power supply and controlled by the processor.

    Abstract: A restraining apparatus for an animal including a combination of a leash and a harness to be used in conjunction with a collar. The restraining apparatus includes a ring defining an opening. A coupling element for fastening to a collar on the animal is mounted to the ring. A substantially rigid arm is mounted to the ring and extends to a free distal end spaced from the ring, with the arm forming a substantially elongated opening with the ring. A leash may be attached to the ring. When the restraining apparatus is applied to the animal as a harness, the coupling element is fastened to the collar, and the leash is wrapped around the torso of the animal, engages the arm at the elongated opening, and may freely slide and tighten around the torso of the animal.

Embodiments of the device have a downward facing surface having a plurality of closely-spaced downwardly facing spike members. These spike members are sufficiently closely spaced so as to substantially or completely prevent snails, including small-sized young snails, from moving across the downwardly facing surface to crawl around the outside of the device to gain access to the upper portion of the tree.

The pet barrier also includes a tensioning mechanism including a spring assembly operably associated with the holding structure. An adjustment structure is provided for adjusting the tension of the spring assembly by rotational action and thereby adjusting tension in the barrier. To set the tension of the spring assembly, a brake is provided that locks the adjustment structure to with a portion of the housing and/or a portion fixed with respect to the housing. Constant retraction forces act upon the barrier as it is unfurled from around the holding structure.

Banded strands dispose on each rod in relation to the collar. The binder is positioned over each strand and disposed into the annulus to tie the strands to the collar. Opposing ends of each banded strand are cut to form the skirt. The collar and skirt are removed from the rods and positioned onto a lure with the first portion of the bore seating onto a retaining portion of the lure, and the second portion of the bore disposed about a flange thereof.

The corner component is dumbbell shaped with a narrow body, a ball at one end with an aperture for the line, and a support attachment. The leash component has a tubular line ring with a shaped gap so that it appears C-shaped in end view, and leash ring attached to the line ring. The gap is wider than the corner component body and narrower than the line so that it is captured by the line. The line ring diameter is larger than the corner component ball and line diameters so that it moves freely along the line. The gap is defined by opposed edges of the line ring walls that taper to a rounded apexes. When the body hits the a tapered line ring wall, the body slides along the wall until it slides through the gap.
