Abstract: An image forming system includes a mobile communication terminal, and an image forming device. The mobile communication terminal includes memory that stores data, a location determiner that accepts specifying of data and instruction for printing the specified data and determines whether data is stored in memory or stored in an accessible external device, and a print instructor that, in a case where data is stored in the memory, sends data to the image forming device together with the print instruction, and in a case where data is stored in the external device, sends access information, which is for accessing data, to the image forming device, together with the print instruction. The image forming device includes a controller that, when receiving data together with the print instruction, prints the received data, and when receiving the access information together with the print instruction, acquires and prints data stored in the external device.

Abstract: An image forming device and an operation method are provided. The method includes receiving a request for performing a preparation operation for verifying integrity of a first document according to a first image forming job for the first document, obtaining first transaction information indicating that the first image forming job has been performed for the first document and obtaining a first hash code corresponding to the first transaction information, registering the first transaction information and the first hash code in a ledger based on a network of a blockchain that distributes and manages a ledger in which transaction information of a certain document has been recorded, obtaining first verification information for verifying the integrity of the first document from the ledger according to the first image forming job, and verifying the integrity of the first document based on the first verification information.

Abstract: An original image is read as an aggregate of a plurality of pixels in which adjacent pixels have different colors (R, G, and B) in a main scanning direction and in a sub-scanning direction, and the read pixels of the respective colors are stored in a line memory in association with information on relative positions of the pixels with respect to another pixel. Then, the stored pixels are sorted so that pixels having the same color are adjacent to each other, and an abnormal pixel (dust) not present in the original image is detected based on the state of the sorted pixels. With this, the dust not present in the original image is detected without increasing the cost, and the dust is corrected without forming a conspicuous trace of correction.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus that enables a user to easily grasp setting values associated with a settings history button. Execution of a function selected by a user is controlled using setting values set on a setting screen displayed with initial values of the setting values registered at factory shipment. An identification reference used for identifying a setting value used and different from a corresponding initial value is switched. An instruction for changing the initial values on the setting screen to other initial values than the initial values registered at factory shipment is received. Setting value information indicative of the identified setting value is displayed for a settings history button for calling setting values used for the function. If the initial values on the setting screen are changed to the other initial values, the identification reference is switched to the other initial values.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for using augmented reality to create a printing template. The method includes capturing, using a camera of a mobile electronic device, a real world image of a surface. The method further includes, by a processor, receiving the real world image, processing the real world image to isolate and measure a portion of the surface on which print job content is to be applied, creating a printing template conforming to a shape and area of the isolated and measured portion of the surface, causing the real world image to be output on a display, and causing the display to output the printing template over the real world image, overlaid over the isolated and measured portion of the surface.

Abstract: A disclosed information processing system includes a terminal, and an information processing apparatus. Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for handling one or more requests received in a remote working environment. The method includes receiving at least one request: including a print request and a request to turn-off a multi-function device, the request is received from a computing device of a user. Based on the request, it is checked whether the computing device is remotely located by obtaining a location of the computing device using a pre-defined method in real-time such as GPS. Then, the obtained location of the computing device is compared with a location of the multi-function device. Based on the comparison, a corresponding message or an alert is presented to the user via a user interface, for an appropriate action. The user may submit the document as a secure print job. The user may check other non-remote users and may not turn-off the multi-function device when working remotely.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for providing secure printing at a multi-function device. The method includes identifying whether a document received from a user requires secure printing. Then, the physical presence of the user and a user registered device near the multi-function device is detected. If both are present near the multi-function device, then printing of the document is initiated. Further, the presence of the user and a user registered device near the multi-function device is continuously tracked. Based on the presence of the user and the user registered device near the multi-function device, one of the following is performed—either continuing printing the document till completion and collection by the user or pausing printing the document when either the user or the user registered device is not detected near the multi-function device.
