  • Patent number: 10322663
Abstract: Systems may include a storage location and a bladder. The storage location may have a volume. The bladder may be selectively inflatable and deflatable to change an amount of the volume of the storage location that is occupied by the bladder. Fluid communication between the bladder and an inflation network may change an amount of pressurized fluid present in the bladder so as to change the amount of the volume of the storage location occupied by the bladder. For example, this may cause the bladder to press against an item in the storage location, such as to secure the item or to facilitate a determination of an amount of space that is occupied in the storage location and/or an amount of space that is available for receipt of additional items.

  • Patent number: 10322865
Abstract: A vacuum food storage system includes a vacuum container having an air valve, and a cordless vacuum unit capable of being supported on top of the container for extracting air from the container through the air valve. To provide a more substantive visual indication of the presence of a vacuum in the container, a resilient seal between the vacuum unit and the container resiliently suspends the vacuum unit so that, as the vacuum increases, the entire vacuum unit is drawn down onto the container. A hands-free operation and more evocative audible indication of the presence of a vacuum is provided by employing a pressure-equalizing valve that abruptly opens to provide a channel between an interface chamber and ambient air when a vacuum sensor indicates a predefined vacuum level within the container.

  • Patent number: 10314765
Abstract: Some embodiments disclosed herein related to a device for transferring precise amounts of fluid from at least one source container to at least one target container. In some embodiments, the fluid is first transferred from the source container (e.g., a vial) through a connector to an intermediate measuring container (e.g., a syringe). In some embodiments air can pass through an air inlet and enter the vial to compensate for the volume of fluid withdrawn from the vial. An air check valve or a bag or a filter can prevent the fluid from escaping through the air inlet. The precisely measured amount of fluid can then be transferred from the intermediate measuring container to the target container (e.g., an IV bag). In some embodiments the connector can include a source check valve and a target check valve to direct fluid first from the source container to the intermediate measuring container and then from the intermediate measuring container to the target container.

  • Patent number: 10273138
Abstract: A system for confirming that a liquid product is to be dispensed into a storage tank from a tanker compartment before dispensing the liquid product is disclosed. A wand computing device generates a liquid product identification signal that identifies the liquid product contained in the storage tank when positioned within proximity of a storage tank tag associated with the storage tank. A dispense monitoring computing device attempts to match the liquid product identified by the liquid product identification signal to the liquid products identified as contained in tanker compartments. The dispense monitoring computing device generates a signal to notify the operator that an appropriate tanker compartment contains liquid product that is the same as the liquid product contained by the storage tank and can be dispensed into the storage tank when the liquid product contained by the storage tank matches the liquid product contained by the appropriate tanker compartment.
