  • Patent number: 11003252
Abstract: A method of capturing haptic content of an object where the capturing involves a plurality of communication devices includes recognizing haptic content captured by a first communication device and properties associated with the captured haptic content and recognizing properties associated with a second communication device, and determining, at least partly based on the recognized properties, whether or not the second device is to participate in the capturing of the haptic content. If such a participation is determined, a transmission of at least parts of the haptic content captured by the first communication and the associated properties to the second communication device is initiated. Haptic content captured by the second communication device is then recognized by the haptic device, and a combination of the haptic content captured by the first communication device with the haptic content captured by the second device, can then be initiated.

  • Patent number: 10977928
Abstract: Security system devices are configured to retrieve historic first sensor data acquired from a protected area in response to receiving a threat alarm notification from a peer security system that is related to an area monitored by the peer security system, wherein the protected area is different from and geographically separate from the area monitored by the peer security system. The system devise determines that a security threat is indicated for the protected area by assessing the retrieved selection of historic first sensor data as a function of a relation of the threat alarm notification from the peer security system to the protected area, wherein assessing the historic first sensor data without the function of the relation of the threat alarm notification from the peer security system to the protected area results in determining that the security threat is not indicated for the protected area.

  • Patent number: 10967871
Abstract: In various embodiments, a driver sensing subsystem computes a characterization of a driver based on physiological attribute(s) of the driver that are measured as the driver operates a vehicle. Subsequently, a driver assessment application uses a confidence level model to estimate a confidence level associated with the driver based on the characterization of the driver. The driver assessment application then causes driver assistance application(s) to perform operation(s) that are based on the confidence level and modify at least one functionality of the vehicle. Advantageously, by enabling the driver assistance application(s) to take into account the confidence level of the driver, the driver assessment application can improve driving safety relative to conventional techniques for implementing driver assistance applications that disregard the confidence levels of drivers.
