The method includes: acquiring N search requests and N search responses corresponding to the N search requests; analyzing the N search requests and the N search responses to obtain N initial hot content datum; calculating a weight of each initial hot content data and selecting M middle hot content datum from the N initial hot content datum according to the weight of each initial hot content data, and M is a natural number and no greater than N; performing repetition elimination on the M middle hot content datum; and selecting hot content from the M middle hot content datum after the repetition elimination. The apparatus includes acquiring module, analyzing module, selecting module, repetition eliminating module and processing module. Abstract: In order to manage stale data on a network of computer systems, a file harvester agent may be configured with a list of stale data files to be deleted. The file harvester agent may be deployed to the computer systems of a network. When executed in a computer system, the file harvester agent searches the file system of the computer system to locate any files or data indicated in the file list. Any located data files are deleted. Once the agent has finished processing the file list on a computer system, the agent can copy or replicate itself to other computer systems of the network in accordance with a pre-configured itinerary.

Abstract: A database system lock operation method is provided that includes: acquiring, by a first processing node, a lock operand of a target lock; using, by the first processing node, the target lock to perform a lock acquiring operation on a target data object; when the lock operand meets a condition for a successful lock acquiring operation, determining, by the first processing node, that the lock acquiring operation is successful, and updating a value of a data bit that is in the lock operand and used to indicate a state of the target lock on the first processing node to a value that is used to indicate that the state of the target lock on the first processing node is lock held. Accordingly, the embodiments of the present invention further disclose a node device. The embodiments of the present invention can improve performance of a database system.

The linking includes connecting a first durational data for the first scene with a second durational data for the second scene. The first durational data identifies a first start location and a first end location for the first scene. The second durational data identifies a second start location and a second end location for the second scene. The system and method further include generating a linked durational data file as a result of the linking.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an information retrieval system evaluation method, device and storage medium. A ratio between the sum of all the related object parameters of a keyword in keyword in an evaluation retrieval result set and the sum of all the related object parameters of the keyword in keyword in a retrieval result set is used to compute a recall rate of an information retrieval system. And the recall rate is introduced to evaluate the information retrieval system, thereby enhancing accuracy of quantitative evaluation of the information retrieval system, and improving the automation degree of evaluation.

Abstract: A system for knowledge capture and discovery comprises a knowledge repository in which all input data is stored as objects and relationships between objects, and which input data may be stored according to more than one storage format. At least two hierarchical user interfaces provide input mechanisms to obtain the input data, object information concerning the input data and relationship information concerning the input data, thereby permitting end user applications to be developed. A controller receives the input data, object information and relationship information from the at least two hierarchical user interfaces and causes the input data to be stored in the knowledge repository as an object based on the object information and the relationship information.

Abstract: Systems and methods for content selection and processing in an information system are described herein. In one example, a content suggestion engine operates to select, suggest, or recommend content to human users. The selection of content may be suited to a goal or set of goals set by a human user (for example, content recommendations used to assist the human user with achieving a personal health goal). The content suggestion engine may evaluate information to help determine the appropriateness of the content suggestions, considering factors such as a psychological profile, medical conditions, lifestyle, demographics, and goals. The content may be further filtered and weighted to select a subset of content and suggested actions most relevant to the human user.

Abstract: One embodiment provides a system that facilitates the execution of a web application. During operation, the system allocates a storage space on one or more storage devices for use by the web application. Next, the system creates, for the web application, a private filesystem comprising a private root directory within the storage space. Finally, the system enables access to the private filesystem for the web application through the private root directory in a manner that does not allow access to a host filesystem associated with the one or more storage devices from the web application.

Abstract: The disclosure includes a system and method for detecting communities in a weighted graph. The community detection module includes a tagset data aggregator, a counts statistics engine, a weighted graph generator, a coherence engine, a community detector and a tag recommendation engine. The tagset data aggregator receives tagset data. The counts statistics engine determines counts statistics for the tagset data. The weighted graph generator generates and denoises weighted tag occurrence graph based on the counts statistics. The coherence engine determines importance score for all tags and coherence score for all tagsets in the tagset data. The community detector determines maximally coherent communities in the weighted tag co-occurrence graph. The tag recommendation engine recommends tags in real time using the maximally coherent communities.

The data containers that are to be monitored for changes are identified from templates, and a unique template is provisioned for each of the applications.

Abstract: A method and a system for identifying a file type. A modification interface may be provided so that a user inputs a file feature parameter, and the file feature parameter input by the user is added to a file type configuration file, then the file type configuration file is loaded to a state machine to perform file type identification. Therefore, the user can modify a file feature parameter in the original file type configuration file, and when a file feature parameter of a file of a certain type is changed or a file of a new type appears, the user can update a file feature parameter in the state machine in time to identify the changed file or the file of the new type. In this way, the user does not need to search for an identification tool on the Internet.

Abstract: A device worn by a human performing a method using accelerometer data to classify human activities is disclosed. The method uses memory and computation efficiently. A stream of samples is divided into a sequence of sampling periods; each sample has an acceleration value for each axis (e.g., a 3-D accelerometer). Standard deviation of the values for each axis during each sampling period are calculated. A running sum of each axis' values can be maintained sample-by-sample. Each value is sorted into a bin of a histogram, by quantifying a deviance from a respective mean in standard deviations. A standard deviation produced from samples of a previous period can be used. The histogram is compared with histograms associated with particular activities and a classification output can be produced. Classification outputs from multiple sampling periods can be used for voting. A threshold amount of activity can be required to begin activity classification.
