  • Patent number: 9131802
Abstract: This invention refers to a spinning food grill characterized because it is mainly constituted by a base upon which an electric engine is mounted, which moves a main shaft which is held in a vertical position by a post that is placed parallel to it. This main shaft is held by oarlocks located over crossbars that are perpendicular to a post. The oarlocks allow the main shaft to spin freely; additionally it is provided with a height regulator which allows the modification of the height of a circular grill located in the upper extreme of such main shaft. In such way, the distance of the circular grill is controlled, allowing it to come near or move away from the heat source, in this case ignited charcoal, to roast foods. Also, this grill is accompanied by a pair of frames that allow its use in open spaces such as gardens or patios.

  • Patent number: 8759711
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for spot welding with a laser beam (6) in which the laser beam (6) passes through a tube (3) and impinges on the components (7.1, 7.2) to be welded together. The cross section of the laser beam (6) is formed by reflections inside the tube, and the distribution of the radiation intensity is homogenized across the cross section of the beam. At the same time, the tube (3) exerts a contact force (F) on the components (7.1, 7.2) that are to be welded together. Using a plurality of laser beams (6), to each of which a tube (3) is dedicated downstream, it is possible to create a simple and robust, component-specific system by means of which several or all weld spots can be simultaneously produced so as to conjoin the two components (7.1, 7.2).

  • Patent number: 7230517
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for using plasma to adjust the resistance of a thin film resistor. In one advantageous embodiment of the invention, the resistance of a thin film resistor is increased to cause the thin film resistor to have a desired higher value of resistance. The thin film resistor is formed having an initial value of resistance that is less than the desired value of resistance. Then the thin film resistor is placed in an oxidizing atmosphere. A surface of the thin film resistor is then oxidized to increase the initial value of resistance to the desired value of resistance. The amount of the increase in resistance may be selected by selecting the temperature of the oxidizing atmosphere.
