  • Patent number: 11055450
Abstract: Among other things, one or more techniques and/or systems are provided for updating a model for generating a health profile of an industrial asset based upon data pertaining to the industrial asset. The health profile comprises a maintenance plan(s), which respectively comprise one or more recommended maintenance actions to be performed with respect to the industrial asset during a prediction period. The model may be periodically and/or intermittently updated based upon a comparison between the recommended maintenance actions and actual events of the industrial asset during the prediction period. Moreover, in some embodiments, different models may be selected for generating future health profiles of the industrial asset based upon a comparison between the recommended maintenance actions and actual events of the industrial asset during the prediction period.

  • Patent number: 10990988
Abstract: A method identifies a plurality of product categories by applying a categorization model to product data that includes product names and product descriptions. The product data is obtained from internal sources and external sources. The method creates a knowledge graph for a plurality of business entities from inputs that include the plurality of product categories, published data that includes merchant categorizations, and geographical data. The method generates cohort clusters of similar business entities by applying a clustering algorithm to the knowledge graph. The method uses the cohort clusters to learn a first extrapolation model for predicting inventory. And the method provides access to the first extrapolation model to predict inventory level at a specific point in time. The access is provided via a merchant application that runs on an online merchant platform.

  • Patent number: 10902387
Abstract: A method of operating an aircraft. The method includes sensing, using a trusted sensor, a trusted parameter of the aircraft during operation of the aircraft; receiving, at a processor, the trusted parameter; entering, by the processor, the trusted parameter as a first immutable entry into a ledger stored on an immutable non-transitory computer-recordable storage medium, wherein immutable is defined as unchangeability of data stored on the non-transitory computer-recordable storage medium, and wherein the ledger also contains additional immutable entries regarding operations of the aircraft and an aircraft environment; executing, by the processor, a recursive analysis algorithm on the first immutable entry together with the additional immutable entries to produce analyzed data; and using, by the processor, the analyzed data to improve future operational performance of the aircraft by ordering changes in how a component of the aircraft performs during operation of the aircraft based on the analyzed data.

  • Patent number: 10902441
Abstract: A computer-implemented technique can process overhead images of users in a line at a venue to obtain a user wait time for the line. The processing can include (a) identifying a user of the group of users that is second in the line to obtain a target user, (b) detecting when the target user becomes first in the line to obtain a start time, (c) after the target user becomes first in the line, detecting when the target user leaves the line to obtain an end time, (d) determining a period from the start time to the end time, and (e) calculating the user wait time by calculating a product of (i) the determined period and (ii) a quantity of the group of users in the line after the target user leaves the line. The calculated user wait time can then be output.

  • Patent number: 10878476
Abstract: A scalable architecture to solve assortment problems. Relevant data is loaded into various data stores throughout the architecture. A user specifies the problem using an interactive user interface. A dispatcher process takes the problem and delegates it to individual data stores. The data stores solve their delegated problems and return the results to the dispatcher, which aggregates the results and presents them to the user as an optimal solution to the assortment problem.

  • Patent number: 10832221
Abstract: An event can be stored using an indication of recurrence and an intent-time event time that includes a trigger indicator and optionally an offset. When a view of a calendar having intentional-time events is requested by a calendar application, a calendar service can search a storage resource for the requested calendar and any events that fall within a requested start time and end time. The identified events can be provided to a source of the request. Any intent-time event times that are stored as part of intentional-time events can be calculated based on their triggers and offsets. The calculations may be carried by the calendar service and the results provided to the calendar application or by the calendar application itself.

  • Patent number: 10762517
Abstract: A churn prediction system includes at least one hardware processor, a memory including a historical sample set of subscriber data, and a churn prediction engine executing on the at least one hardware processor. The churn prediction engine is configured to identify the historical sample set, identify a set of attributes, automatically select a subset of attributes based on an information gain value, generate a decision tree by recursively generating nodes of the decision tree by computing an information gain value for each remaining attribute of the subset of attributes, identifying a highest attribute having the highest information gain value, and assigning the highest attribute to the node. The churn prediction engine is also configured to receive target data for a target subscriber, apply the target data to the decision tree, thereby generating a churn prediction for the target subscriber, and identify the target subscriber as a churn prediction.

  • Patent number: 10733547
Abstract: In some locations, such as airports, drivers that provide passenger transport must wait a significant distance away from the pickup location. To reduce the delay between a passenger requesting a ride and being picked up, drivers are pre-dispatched before being assigned to specific passengers. The demand for a future time period is predicted and the number of drivers that should be pre-dispatched to meet that demand is estimated. The estimated number of drivers is sent pre-dispatch instruction indicating they should leave the waiting area and head towards the pickup location.

  • Patent number: 10713670
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system to provide correspondences between point-of-sale data registered at the store checkout and shopper behavior data observed at point-of-purchase through video analysis. The point-of-sale data include the list of shoppers and purchase items, and the shopper behavior data include the purchase events along with observed purchase items. The correspondence in the form of checkout shopper IDs matched to purchase event IDs is derived based on the algebraic constraint among the point-of-sale data and the purchase event data. Additional constraint based on shopper tracks and checkout/event times can also be incorporated to the correspondence problem. Uncertainties due to the video measurement can be systematically handled utilizing a Bayesian model.
