  • Patent number: 11945708
Abstract: A filling machine includes filling elements, each having a seal that seals a container's mouth, a filling valve, a gas valve, a liquid channel that, when the filling valve is opened, is in fluid communication with the container's interior, and a gas channel that, when the gas valve is open, is in fluid communication with the container's interior. The filling machine introduces an inert gas into the container's interior via the gas channel to create a preload pressure in the container such that the inert gas in the container dissolves in the liquid when the liquid is later introduced into the container. The filling machine is further configured to introduce a volume of liquid into the container's interior through the liquid channel at a filling pressure that exceeds the preload pressure.

  • Patent number: 11945187
Abstract: A device for expanding and dispensing expandable slit sheet paper includes a pair of support members for a roll of expandable slit sheet paper. The roll of expandable slit sheet paper has an interior core member and a roll of expandable slit sheet paper wound on said interior core member. The interior core member has an axial length that is greater than the width of said slit sheet paper that is wound on said interior core member and has end regions that extend beyond the roll of expandable slit sheet paper. Pressure means is provided for pressing a first end region against its core support member and applying a frictional rotation resistance to the core member end region. The roll of expandable slit sheet paper is mounted on the device by positioning one end region under the pressure means and in a support relationship with its core support member while the roll of expandable slit sheet paper is inclined with respect to the device.

  • Patent number: 11939125
Abstract: A closure system having a container neck portion and a closure both with tread formations offering multiple angular distributed mutual engagement options. The closure has a closure shell and a tamper-evident band connected through frangible connections that break when the closure shell is fully unengaged for the first time forming an unattached tether. The tamper-evident band and a lodging section of the container neck portion are configured to provide for a strong grip between them, so as to impede the free rotation of the tamper-evident band during the first and subsequent opening operations of the container neck portion, and specific optimal sizing for the tether are selected, such that the closure system offers the user different re-closing options, at least one of which forces the tether to adopt an exposed state determining a protruding handle.

  • Patent number: 11918212
Abstract: A surgical instrument including a surgical end effector and a threaded rotary input shaft. An actuator member is in operable engagement with the surgical end effector and is in selective threaded engagement with the threaded rotary input shaft such that when the actuator member is in an engaged configuration, rotation of said threaded rotary input shaft causes the actuator member to move axially to impart an actuation motion to the surgical end effector and when the actuator member is in a disengaged configuration, rotation of the threaded rotary input shaft will not be imparted to the actuator member. A switch may be employed for selectively moving the actuator between the engaged and disengaged configurations. A locking system may be employed for preventing axial movement of the actuator member when the actuator member is in the disengaged configuration.

  • Patent number: 11873143
Abstract: A container made of an elastomer such as silicone with an integrated leak resistant seal and pressure shield. The seal incorporates press-fit elements with sizes and shapes sufficient to provide a strong seal that resists leakage of liquids from inside the container. The seal is integrated into the container and requires no external clips or clasps. The pressure shield increases leak resistance by at least 300% and is formed by adding material to the inside of the container and not to the engaging portions of the seal and works by deflecting pressure away from the two leak resistant seal portions. Additional features are provided to facilitate opening such as extended flaps for pulling the sides open, and asymmetric cavities for press-fit elements to reduce the initial opening force. The container itself may be of asymmetrical shape, such as trapezoidal, to provide a wide opening along with a strong seal.
