Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for managing dual connectivity. A method for operating a UE includes receiving a configuration for dynamic power sharing (DPS) between transmissions on a master cell group (MCG) and transmissions on a secondary cell group (SCG) and determining a time offset as a function of sub-carrier spacing (SCS) configurations and of configurations for a PUSCH processing capability on the MCG and on the SCG. The method further includes determining a maximum power for a PUSCH transmission on the SCG, at a beginning of the PUSCH transmission on the SCG, when each of the transmissions on the MCG is scheduled by a downlink control information (DCI) format in a PDCCH reception that ends at least the time offset before the beginning of the PUSCH transmission on the SCG. The method further includes transmitting the transmissions on the MCG and the PUSCH transmission on the SCG.

  • Patent number: 11540331
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station may select a profile from a set of profiles indicating a communication procedure and a measurement configuration based on one or more communication parameters associated with the base station and transmit an indication of the profile to a user equipment (UE). The UE may utilize the selected profile to modify the communication procedure for coverage enhancement. For example, if one or more conditions (e.g., signal threshold) of the measurement configuration are met, the UE may modify the communication procedure and communicate with the base station according to the modified communication procedure.

  • Patent number: 11516108
Abstract: A method of determining the presence of a loopback in one or more networks comprises storing information related to a test instance; sending a loopback detection beacon (PLD) containing information related to the test instance from a port on an originating device; monitoring the port for a predetermined time period to detect LPDBs arriving at the port during the predetermined time period; and determining whether a detected LPDB contains information corresponding to the stored information, to detect the presence of a loopback. The method may determine whether a detected loopback is a port loopback, a tunnel loopback or a service loopback. The stored information related to the test instance may be deleted if an LPDB arriving at the port and containing information corresponding to the stored information is not detected within the predetermined time period.

  • Patent number: 11514139
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for managing registrations of computers. The methods and systems provide a registration tool that may be used to automatically register the computers. For each computer to be registered, information uniquely identifying the computer is collected and sent to a remote registration server. The information is then used by the remote registration server to perform the registration on behalf of the computer. The registration may be with a software vendor, a third-party database, or with the remote registration server itself in some cases. The registration server thereafter returns a registration code or other information to the computer to complete the registration. Such an arrangement allows the registration process to be controlled from a central location.

  • Patent number: 11510283
Abstract: An access point (AP) configured for wireless local area network (WLAN) sensing is configured to encode a trigger frame (TF) for transmission. The trigger frame allocates resource units (RUs) for receiving high-efficiency (HE) trigger-based (TB) physical-layer protocol data units (PPDUs) (HE TB PPDUs) from a plurality of client devices (non-AP STAs). The trigger frame may solicit each of the client devices to transmit an HE TB PPDU in accordance with an UL OFDMA technique or an UL MU-MIMO technique. The AP may decode the HE TB PPDUs received from the client devices and may estimate channel state information (CSI) for a radio link associated with each of the client devices based on an HE-LTF of an associated one of the HE-TB PPDUs received from one of the client devices. In accordance with these embodiments, the AP may process changes in the CSI of the radio links over time for a WLAN sensing application.

  • Patent number: 11438748
Abstract: The described techniques relate to methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support narrowband reference signal (NRS) configuration for non-anchor carriers. Generally, the described techniques provide for increasing the length of an NRS scrambling sequence for non-anchor carriers. For example, the NRS scrambling sequence initialization equation may be a function of system frame number. A base station may transmit to a user equipment (UE) a non-anchor carrier configuration indicating that the NRS scrambling sequence is extended with respect to other NRS scrambling sequences. For example, the non-anchor carrier configuration may indicate the scrambling sequence initialization for the NRS. In some examples, the length of the NRS scrambling sequence is increased by extending the number of possible initializations. The base station and UE may communicate based on the extended length of the NRS scrambling sequence for non-anchor carriers of the NRS.
