Abstract: A method for making a packaging frame to protect parts formed from a blank including interior cuts and minimal cutouts, said blank being operable shift to and form a single piece frame having an exterior quadrilateral to interfit within a packing container and conform to the interior thereof and having an interior perimeter to accommodate the reception of a part for shipment.
Abstract: A ceramic chip-resistant chamfered integrated circuit package and an apparatus for and method of manufacture thereof. The exposed-surface edge of each short end of a ceramic package component (base and/or cap) are made with an integral chamfer at an angle of from about 20.degree. to about 85.degree. relative to the plane of the opposing inner surface of the component. The height H of the chamfer is from about 20% to about 67% of the thickness T of the ceramic package component. In particular, the preferred angle of the chamfer is from about 50.degree. to about 70.degree., with a preferred height H of about 30% to about 50% of the thickness T. The integral chamfer of each ceramic package component is made by means of an inventive die-press apparatus for inverted formation of the ceramic package component. The inventive method forms the chamfers without causing localized compaction of the ceramic powder starting material.

Abstract: The box-like package made of a thermoformable plastics sheet being of a one-piece, punched blank provided with folding scores. Supporting profiles are molded out inwardly or outwardly from individual regions of the blank by means of thermoforming. These supporting profiles resiliently support the packed product which is susceptible to shock; they are therefore preferably adapted to the contours of the product. The entire pack, including the supporting profiles, forms a single part, so that additional supporting inserts are superfluous. The most important advantages: saving in packaging material, dispensing with troublesome to handle additional inserts, good stackability of the sheets before assembly, readily recyclable monomaterial package.
Abstract: A plastics threaded fitting molding mechanism, which is aimed to resolve the conventional problem limited only to produce single direction threads, utilizes three pushing rods and corresponding co-axially disposed therein, performing reciprocating movement, to make the three ways plastics threaded fitting. Therefore, it is substantial to save time and labor while reducing manufacturing cost.
Abstract: In an apparatus for treating plate-shaped articles in a liquid medium including a bath containing the liquid medium with gap-like inlet and outlet openings arranged beneath the liquid level and a conveying device for conveying the plate-shaped articles along a substantially flat path of conveyance through the inlet and outlet openings and through the liquid medium in the bath, in order to reduce the loss of liquid from the bath, it is proposed that the inlet and outlet openings comprise sealing elements which are movable from a closed to an open position as the plate-shaped articles pass through them and which are furthermore of such design that the gap created by the sealing elements in their open position is substantially adaptable in height and width to the cross-section of the articles passing through it.
Abstract: Apparatus for stretching dough is provided, by which bread dough or confectionery dough is continuously and smoothly stretched by linearly reciprocating a roller over the surface of the part of the dough that is continuously conveyed by a downstream conveyor of a pair of conveyors, one a downstream conveyor and other an upstream conveyor, while the roller rolls on the dough, without destroying the gluten tissue of the dough, and while determining the conveying speed of the upstream conveyor in response to the change of the thickness of the dough to be stretched, thereby obtaining, in one operation, a desired and uniform dough thickness from the continuously supplied dough material.
Abstract: Thermoforming apparatus and methodology is provided to form a breakaway port in a molded piece, such as a container lid. The apparatus includes a forging assembly that has a punch element and a striker assembly, so that a material blank that is heated to a plastic state by an oven may be advanced therebetween. When the thermoforming mold closes, a striker element and the punch element come together with a striking force so that a portion of the blank is forced against a male profile on the punch element to forge the port by forming lines of reduced thickness that are partible under mechanical force but which normally maintain the integrity of the molded piece against the passage of fluids. The striker element can be adjustably spring biased and can be mounted, for example, to the pressure box of the thermoforming mold while the punch element is positioned on the mold assembly that provides the mold configuration for the piece to be formed.
Abstract: According to a central mechanism of a tire vulcanizer of the present invention, in a central mechanism of a tire vulcanizer in which a lower clamp ring holding a lower end portion of a bladder is fixed detachably to a lower ring having a passage of a vulcanizing medium, key-shaped holes are bored on the lower clamp ring, springs which press clamp rods which penetrate through the lower ring downward and a fluid pressure cylinder which pushes up the clamp rods against the spring force are provided, and the clamp rods are pushed up so as to release fixing of the lower clamp ring, and the lower clamp ring is removed by rotating the lower clamp ring by a predetermined angle from a state in which the lower clamp ring and the lower ring are fixed to each other by having nuts fixed at the upper ends of the clamp rods engaged with the key holes. Accordingly, the replacement operation of the bladder is automated, thus making it possible to improve the operation rate.
Abstract: A device for filling molds with a casting resin or the like. An elastic casting container, with at least one fill and discharge opening, is arranged in the pressure box, which casting container selectively receives the casting resin therein from a feed pipe and delivers the casting resin to the mold through a fill pipe. The casting container is emptied by a pressure buildup inside of the pressure box, either by means of a gaseous or a liquid pressure medium. In this manner, the casting container can be loaded with the casting resin such that a renewed gas loading of the already degassed casting resin prior to the filling of the mold no longer occurs, while simultaneously limiting cleaning operations.

Abstract: A device for producing pellets from film. A cradle is rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis of rotation to a main frame. An axle arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis holds one or more rolls of film. A plurality of drive rollers pull the film from the rolls while the rolls are rotated on the longitudinal axis twisting the film into a strand. An oven located between the rolls and drive rollers heats the strand to permanently set the twist thereon. A pelletizer located aft of the drive rollers cuts the strand into individual pellets. In a modified version, glass roving is extended through the holder past the roll and wrapped with the film into a single strand. In an alternate embodiment, the roll of film is mounted to an axle having a longitudinal axis extending in the same direction as the axis of rotation. The film is pulled axially off the roll and twisted into a strand.
