Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an article storage and retrieval apparatus, including a frame body, configured to be fixed on a vertical mounting surface; a cap body, the cap body, hinged with the frame body at upper end, left end or right end to rotate to open and close; and an accommodating box, arranged in a space formed between the frame body and the cap body, adopting a foldable structure and configured to be unfolded alter the cap body is opened relative to the frame body to form a space for accommodating articles and allow the cap body to be closed relative to the frame body after being folded.

Abstract: A guide system includes a first guide rail for guiding a door wing, a second guide rail for guiding the door wing. A carrier can move the door wing relative to the second guide rail in a direction extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the first guide rail. A drive device has a force storage member, and the carrier can be at least partially ejected by the drive device from the retracted position of the carrier by a force of the force storage member. The drive device includes a coupling portion and a control curve, and the coupling portion and the control curve are decoupled over a large part of the movement of the carrier between the extended position and the retracted position. The carrier can be retracted into the retracted position starting from a position immediately before the retracted position when the coupling portion couples with the control curve.

Abstract: A modular system of locker banks for receipt and delivery of packages is described. The system may include associate modules each having one or more lockers and a control board in communication with each of the lockers in the module. Each locker may include a locker board having a processor and memory configured to control operation of the locker. Each locker may include a lock and a light. The system may further include one or more control modules, each having the above components and further including a kiosk having one or more input and output devices for entering information to the module for controlling operation of the system. The modular system may be connected to a server and/or an administrator terminal.

Abstract: A notification apparatus and method for a package receptacle, such as a mailbox, including a receiving door with a closure lip, a mounting plate, a notification flap, and a self-contained spring loaded hinge between the mounting plate and the notification flap. The mounting plate is securable to a mailbox with at least a portion of the notification flap securable under a door of the mailbox, and, when the door is opened, the flap rotates approximately 90-degrees about the hinge toward the mounting plate.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system for providing substantially 180 degrees, or more, of rotation between a sheet metal door mounted on a sheet metal sidewall of a chassis, relative to the chassis. The system includes a first and a second shaft passing through a module positioned between the door and the sidewall, whereby the door rotates about the two shafts, where the two shafts are not axially aligned. The chassis may hold sleds of a server, and the door may further comprise multiple linking modules, such that the sleds are coupled to the linking modules when the door is in a closed position, and the sleds are slid home within the chassis.

Abstract: A novel technique for the fabrication of a casket dome lid from, for example, Smooth-One-Side (“S1S”) hardboard is disclosed. The invention is also directed to the fabrication of a casket lid which has a domed configuration both in the lateral and longitudinal directions of the lid. The method comprises the steps of providing a lid blank having a first end, second end, and a central region; providing a pair of diagonal voids oriented at corners of the first end of said blank and extending inward toward the central region; placing the lid blank in a vacuum fixture; and flexing the lid blank into a domed configuration via the vacuum fixture, such that the blank is domed in both a longitudinal and a transverse direction.

Abstract: A postal and package receptacle includes a main body that has an open top and a lid over the top that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The lid is moved from the open to the closed position upon receiving an open command via a wireless communication, whereupon a package can be placed in the interior of the main body. After a package is placed in the interior of the main body, the lid can be closed. A drone can be programmed to deliver a package to the postal and package receptacle and upon arriving at the location of the postal and package receptacle, the drone can communicate with the postal and package receptacle to issue the open and close commands, accordingly.

Abstract: Various examples are provided related to package delivery receptacles. In one example, a delivery guard includes a depository contained within a front surface, a rear surface, and side surfaces of the delivery guard; a front facing package drop door pivotally attached to the front surface; a package deposit shelf attached to the front facing package drop door at a fixed orientation; a second shelf pivotally attached to the rear surface; and a linkage assembly coupled between the package deposit shelf and the second shelf. Rotation of the front facing package drop door between open and closed positions simultaneously rotates the second shelf via the linkage assembly. The package deposit shelf and the second shelf can rotate downward as the front facing package drop door is closed thereby providing a sloped opening to the depository.

Abstract: A deposit receptacle for secure acceptance of parcels and of hanging clothing is provided that prevents unauthorized removal of the deposited articles. The deposit receptacle includes a one-part or multi-part frame, a roof, a floor, a front pivoting upper input door, a front locking hinged lower retrieval door, a locking hinged side access door for both deposit and retrieval, a clothing hanger installed within the roof, a front panel, and a securing system incorporated into the floor that enables the deposit receptacle to be securely and easily fastened to the supporting structure upon which the receptacle is resting.

Abstract: A package delivery box 100 is disclosed. It comprises a container 101 for accommodating at least one package, an openable lid 102 attached to the container 101, a closing mechanism for closing the container 101, and a locking mechanism for locking the closed container 101. The closing mechanism comprises a pressure plate 103 at a base of the container 101, a string 105 connecting the pressure plate 103 with the lid, and at least one pull spring 106 between the lid 102 and the container 101, and the locking mechanism comprises a flexible rod 104 beneath the pressure plate 103 and directly connected to the pressure plate 103, a slider 109 connected to the flexible rod, and a hole 110 in the lid, wherein the hole 110 is adapted to accommodate insertion of the flexible rod 104 therein.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for producing audio for, or adding audio capability to, a collection box for delivery items that includes a user-operated door for putting items into the collection box. The system can include a processing subsystem, an audio transducer, a trigger device that is connected to, or that is part of, the door of the collection device, and a sensor. The sensor detects the trigger device when the trigger device is in close proximity (e.g., in contact), and the sensor is positioned such that it is in close proximity with the trigger device when the door is closed. In response to the trigger device moving out of close proximity, the sensor generates a signal to the processing system. In response, the processing system generates an audio signal that is converted to sound by the audio transducer, which can be heard outside of the collection box.

Abstract: A window balance system includes a U-shaped channel with a first end and an opposite second end, and a balance element supported within the U-shaped channel. The balance element includes a fixed pulley block coupled to the first end of the U-shaped channel, a movable pulley block movably disposed in the U-shaped channel, and a cord extending between the fixed pulley block and the moveable pulley block. The window balance system includes a locking device coupled to the fixed pulley block and configured to engage with the cord and lock a position of the fixed pulley block with respect to the cord. The window balance system also includes a shoe coupled to the second end of the U-shaped channel. The shoe includes an elongate portion and an enlarged portion such that the shoe is substantially T-shaped, and a chamber configured to receive at least a portion of a pivot bar.

Abstract: Disclosed is a biaxial hinge mechanism used on a mobile terminal, comprising a first shaft and a second shaft parallel to each other, and a first support and a second support, wherein the first and second supports are respectively connected to the connection ends of the first and second shafts; the first and second supports are provided with connection end faces facing side faces of the connection ends; riveting columns formed in an integrated manner are provided on the connection end faces; connection through holes are provided on the connection ends; and the riveting columns are connected to the connection through holes. The spaces of the side faces of the hinge, rather than the spaces in the thickness direction of the hinge, are fully used to connect the supports, providing a high space utilization rate and aiding in greatly reducing the thickness of the hinge, and the used connection structure facilitates installation of the supports on the side faces of the hinge, providing a high connection strength.

Abstract: Cabinets, methods for making cabinets, and aircraft including cabinets are provided. In one example, a cabinet includes a cabinet body that at least partially surrounds a cabinet space and that defines a cabinet opening that allows access to the cabinet space. A cabinet door at least partially covers the cabinet opening when in a closed position and extends upward from a lower edge portion to an upper edge portion. The cabinet door has an outer exposed surface facing generally in a first direction away from the cabinet space when in the closed position. The cabinet door is operatively coupled to the cabinet body for opening from the closed position to an open position including the lower edge portion moving generally upward and the upper edge portion moving generally upward and towards the first direction to expose the cabinet opening.

The lever and arm are adapted to pivot relative to each other about a main pivot axis between a first position that corresponds to a closed position of the associated appliance door and a second position that corresponds to an opened position of the associated appliance door. A slide link is located adjacent the lever. A damper engagement structure is connected to the slide link. A biasing system urges the arm and lever toward the first position. A damper system includes a damper that damps pivoting movement between the arm and the lever for at least part of the movement between the arm and the lever when the arm and lever pivot relative to each other from the first position toward the second position.

Abstract: A securable delivery storage container is configured to extend through a wall of a building and includes a frame assembly configured to be inserted into the wall. The frame assembly includes a first open end disposed at an exterior of the building, and an opposite second open end disposed at an interior of the building. A drawer assembly, which defines a storage area configured to receive deliverables, is slidingly coupled to the frame assembly and slidable between (i) a closed position where the drawer assembly is nested within the frame assembly to prevent access to the storage area from the building exterior, and enable access from the building interior and (ii) an open position where the drawer assembly is extended outwardly from the frame assembly to enable access to the storage area from the building exterior.

Abstract: A system and method of delivering a package to a residence having an address and a locker with a lock is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of, remotely selecting an item from a menu of items provided by a vendor and requesting the item be delivered to the residence, providing the vendor delivery information including the address and the combination code to the lock, shipping the package to the residence, reviewing the combination code associated with the package, opening the locker by manipulating the proper combination on the lock, placing the package in the locker; and closing door of the locker. The locker has an outer frame and door that cooperate to allow any liquid to drain out from the front of the locker and outside the residence and a combination lock that allows for the combination to be easily changed by the resident.
