Abstract: A carrier to make a package of sealed cans is a flat sheet having a slot opening for each can. Each can has a tab fixed to its lid. The tabs are nested in the slots with the edges of the slots between the tabs and the lids. Frictional resistance between the cans and the carrier is sufficient to retain the cans in the carrier. A locking tongue can also be provided in the carrier to catch behind the tab for further assurance against retrograde movement. Moreover, the carrier can be made so that it dishes inside each can rim which enhances the strength and holding ability of the carrier.

Abstract: A closure device for a container having a lid hingedly attached at an attachment edge between one lower edge of the lid and a corresponding upper edge of the container comprises a spring means pivotally connected at a first end at a pivot point to a wing means capable of secure attachment to a hinged brace means. The brace means is mounted at its respective ends to an inside wall of the lid and a corresponding inside wall of the container. A second end of the spring means is adapted to be mounted on the inside wall of the container at such a distance from the brace means that when the lid is in a closed position the angle at the pivot point beneath the point exceeds 180 degrees, and when the lid is in an open position the same angle is less than 180 degrees.

Abstract: A lottery ticket holder having two compartments. The first compartment holds an elongate flat lottery slip and is closed by a first flexible flap. The second compartment holds a truncate flat lottery ticket and is closed by a second flexible flap. The holder is formed of transparent material and has advertising indicia and instructions concerning the use of the holder printed thereon.

Abstract: A container (1) for transporting, for example, the rolls of papermaking machines comprises an outer supporting rigid metal frame (3) and a nonsupporting casing (4) protecting the roll, said metal frame comprising an end frame member (5) at each short end of the container, and a side frame member (6) arranged along each of the container long sides and connected to said end frame members (5). The frame is preferably provided with lifting lugs (10) and recesses (8) for the fork arms of a fork-lift truck or the like. The casing comprises a semicylindrical bottom part (14) and one or more top parts (15) which also are semicylindrical and detachably connected to said bottom part (14).

Abstract: A tubular coin holder having a foldable end wall that can be unfolded to a circular state to rigidify the tube side walls. Bend lines are formed in the tube side walls to promote bending in the circumferential plane while retaining rigidity in the axial direction.

Abstract: An economic stackable container of foldable corrugated material with improved strength for forming a stable stack of containers. Ventilation spaces are provided between stacked containers. The arrangement of panel is disclosed. An extension formed at the top at each corner projects into a notch formed at the bottom of a respective corner of the container above. The panels are particularly reinforced by folded panels at the corners. A separate reinforcing sheet is applied around the periphery of the panels of the main sheet. The sheets have their corrugations in the various panels oriented for strength.

Abstract: The container includes a housing with a liquid containment section, defined in part by a common wall, that holds the fluid. A movable member defines, in a first position and in conjunction with the common wall, a sealed interior chamber within which is disposed the mixable or solid composition. In a second position, the movable member is raised above the common wall thereby mixing the mixable composition and the fluid in a mixing section. The mixing section is a combination of the liquid containment section and the interior chamber. The container also includes a lid which is removably attachable to the housing and is operatively associated with the movable member such that when the lid is removed, the movable member is enabled to move from the first position to the second position. The container also includes a port for dispensing the resultant fluid derived from mixing the mixable composition and the fluid. The port is defined by the hollow body, movable member which has an open top and an open bottom.

Abstract: A display fixture or rack supports a supply or stacks of letter-size pads and smaller note-size stationery pads in generally vertical positions, and also supports a supply of mailing envelopes in horizontal positions. Each pad includes a stack of paper sheets bonded at the top to a stiff backing card and surrounded by a transparent film. A set of one letter-size pad and one note-size pad is printed with the same multicolor design or artwork to provide the pads of each set with substantially the same appearance, and the artwork on each set of pads is different from the artwork on each of the other sets. All of the pads and envelopes are custom printed in colors coordinated to match the colors of a particular college or university, and the envelopes are located in compartments located below the stacks of note-size pads and between the stacks of letter-size pads.

Abstract: A tool containment and dispensing apparatus for facilitated insertion and removal of a rotary cutting tool into and out of conventional drilling equipment, without user handling, as well as for safe storing and transporting of such tools. A tool carriage element reciprocates the tool within an apparatus housing, between a partially exposed extended position and a fully enclosed retracted position. The tool carriage is configured with a tool retainment channel and a tool tip seating element to protect the tool from contact with the internal area of the housing and to effectively secure and align the rotary cutting tool with the housing's release aperture. A resealable end cap is provided to completely seal the tool containment and dispensing apparatus from liquid and foreign objects.

Abstract: A container for a compact disc containing encoded musical selections is provided. The container has a base portion and a lid portion releasably connected to each other by cooperating latch elements. Annular protrusions are provided in the base portion to seat and to position the disc, and an annular ring is provided in an adjacent area of the lid portion in order to hold down the disc in the container, whereby radial and axial displacement of the disc within the container is prevented.

Abstract: A ligature dispenser for elastic ligatures used in orthodontic treatment of patients, and particularly for attaching an archwire to orthodontic brackets. The dispenser includes a hand-holdable curvate or flat body or supporting member on which are mounted a plurality of ligatures in standing up or laying down positions. The ligatures are releasably held on the supporting member by means of a suitable adhesive and/or by friction. A cover may be provided to enclose the supporting member and ligatures during shipping, storing and use.

Abstract: A protective cover for pagers comprises a film of transparent stretchable plastic (e.g. 595HC silicon plastic) formed to cover the top, four sides, and at least a portion of the bottom of a pager. The cover includes accordion type pleats which are positioned to reside adjacent switches, a belt clip, and the like, to allow operation thereof.

Abstract: A case for personal accessory items such as disposable lighters, cosmetics and candy, packaged in elongate containers. In the preferred embodiment, a case having a transparent area slidably receives the accessory item. Suitable ornamentation is provided in the transparent area. A portion of the case extends to provide a shield or guard over the ignition components of the lighter to minimize the risk of inadvertent actuation when the lighter is fully inserted in the case. The body of the case may be provided with a relieved area so that the user can conveniently extend a part of the contained lighter from the case to a position of use.

Abstract: A combination transparent container and hanging tag. The container has a hinged lid and a product-receiving base. The hanging tag is of one piece foldable material dimensioned to be folded at one end within the container and at its other end folded so as to pass outside of the container between the lid and the base walls. This outside end of the foldable material has a through-hole thereby forming a hanging tag for suspending the combination. The foldable material may be imprinted to carry promotional advertising on the outside end and all necessary information for a product within the container. The foldable material may also carry the product prior to its insertion into the box to facilitate the packaging process. The tag portion and container portion of the combination are not fixedly attached to each other.

A transparent package containing four such cells is provided having a similar outside rectangular shape as conventional two-cell packages.

Abstract: This invention provides a hinged, one-piece case for protecting and storing a plurality of circular saw blades. The case comprises a bottom section with a central threaded spindle for receiving saw blades and a cover section which accepts the spindle and releasably snap-locks onto the bottom section to form a watertight case. Blades are held firmly in place by the use of a wing nut threaded onto the spindle. A handle is integrally molded into the bottom section. The case is of simple, lightweight, and inexpensive construction, and stackable for marketing and storage purposes.

Abstract: A carrying case for a lap-top model of a personal computer, a portable word processor or the like comprises a generally box-like casing accommodating various electric components therein and having a display panel assembly generally hingedly supported for movement in a direction towards and away from the casing, a foldable handle assembly supported for pivotal movement between concealed and projected positions, and at least one lock mechanism operable to lock the panel assembly in a closed position to the canister. The lock mechanism comprises an engagement member secured to the panel assembly and a releaseable one-piece member including a release button and a pawl member engageable with the engagement member. All necessary support elements to which the handle assembly is fitted are integrally formed with a bottom wall of the casing.
