  • Patent number: 7874875
Abstract: An electrical connector for electrically connecting an element to a circuit board includes at least two adjacent insulation bodies, a plugging slot located on the insulation bodies for being plugged with the element, and a set of conductive terminals disposed on the insulation bodies and electrically connected with the circuit board. One side of each of the insulation bodies is movably connected with the adjacent insulation body. When the circuit board undergoes soldering process, the relation position of the insulation bodies at the adjacent location is automatically adjusted according to the warp caused by the high temperature of soldering so as to reduce the warp and deformation. Thereby, the soldering portion of each conductive terminal received in the insulation bodies can be soldered onto the circuit board well, such that electrical connector is normally and electrically connected with the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 7857660
Abstract: A meter socket adapter includes an insulating housing that is connected to a power circuit on one side by bus bars and connected to a watt-hour meter on the other side by jaw contacts. The housing includes insulating compartments for current transformers through which the bus bars extend. Current transformers extend around the bus bars and are housed in individual compartments in the current transformer housing. Transformed current is directed to the jaw contacts for metering with the watt-hour meter. The bus bars include an insulating layer there on, reducing the need for insulation around the secondary of the current transformers. The current transformers are then significantly smaller and fit within a K-Base meter socket. The adapter housings define a cavity with separate dielectric plates between the bus bars and the jaw contacts. The adapter conveniently allows for self-contained meters to be used in high current installations.

  • Patent number: 7845963
Abstract: A mechanism of low cost and easy mounting, provides resistance to rotation of a coupling nut (14) of an electrical connector about the barrel (12) of the connector, and provides a higher resistance to rotation in one direction (U) than the opposite direction (M). A toothed ring (44) with a circle of teeth, is fixed to the barrel. The mechanism includes a washer (42) with projections (70, 72) that engage the teeth of the ring to ride over them during nut rotation, and thereby provide resistance to nut rotation. The washer is bent to form a spring to bias its projections against the teeth of the toothed ring. The washer also has ears (75, 76) that fit into slots in the nut to prevent washer rotation relative to the nut. The teeth of the toothed ring have first sides that are steeper than its second sides to provide higher resistance to rotation in one direction.
