    Abstract: Wellbore tubulars including selective stimulation ports (SSPs) sealed with sealing devices and methods of operating the same are disclosed herein. The wellbore tubulars include a tubular body that defines a tubular conduit and a plurality of selective stimulation ports. Each selective stimulation port includes an SSP conduit and a sealing device seat. The wellbore tubulars further include a plurality of sealing devices. Each sealing device includes a primary sealing portion that is seated on a corresponding sealing device seat and forms a primary seal with the corresponding sealing device seat. Each sealing device also includes a secondary sealing portion that extends from the primary sealing portion and forms a secondary seal between the primary sealing portion and the corresponding sealing device seat. The methods include methods of stimulating a subterranean formation utilizing the wellbore tubulars.

    Abstract: A system for cementing a tubular in a wellbore that includes a sleeve made up of an annular housing with a cement seal on outer surface of the housing. The sleeve further includes a sliding block, a stationary block, an arm attached to the sliding block, and a passage formed through a sidewall of the housing, and that receives a free end of the arm. When the sleeve inner bore is pressurized, the arm moves to move the sliding block into an open space in the stationary block. Inserting the sliding block into the open space forms a seal on the outer periphery of the sleeve which forms a barrier to cement flowing in an annulus between the sleeve and inner surface of the wellbore. Lost circulation material can be deposited in the annulus and which settles along an interface between the seal and wellbore wall.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for pre-loading a production casing string being cemented to a section of surface casing and wellbore disposed below the surface casing is provided. The apparatus includes an anchor which is secured to a bottom-hole section of the parent casing string. The production casing string is connected to the anchor. Pulling on the anchor puts the production casing string in tension. The anchor includes a lock sleeve and a wedge which secures the arms of the lock sleeve in recesses formed within the inner surface of the parent casing string when the rig pulls on production casing string connected to the anchor thereby setting the anchor in the bottom-hole section of the parent casing string. The bottom-hole section of the parent casing string is formed with ribs which enhance bonding of the parent casing string to the cement between the parent casing string and wellbore.

The contaminated fluid includes native formation fluid and oil-based mud (OBM) filtrate. A shrinkage factor of the contaminated fluid is determined based on the in-situ, real-time data. The contaminated fluid shrinkage factor is fit relative to pumped volume or pumping time to obtain a function relating the shrinkage factor with pumped volume or elapsed pumping time. A shrinkage factor of the native formation fluid is determined based on the function. A shrinkage factor of the OBM filtrate is also determined. OBM filtrate volume percentage is determined based on the shrinkage factor of the native formation fluid and the shrinkage factor of the OBM filtrate.

A cross flow shunt tube (13) connects the upstream section and the downstream section, and a sealing fluid outlet (14) is arranged in the intermediate section. A placement fluid is caused to flow into the fracture and controlled to obtain a desired fluid flow in an annular space between the liner and the formation that is directed in downstream direction at a position upstream the fracture and in the upstream direction at a position downstream the fracture. When said desired flow is obtained, sealing fluid is ejected from the sealing fluid outlet. A sealing system is furthermore disclosed.

    Abstract: A tool is provided for use in closing and sealing the cased bore of a well to be abandoned. The tool is run into the bore, the tool having a stack of pleated rings slidably mounted on a tubular mandrel. The tool is engaged with the casing and a charge of hot asphaltic sealant is discharged from a conveyed container to flood the stack and tool annulus. The stack is compressed axially to partly flatten and radially expand the rings to frictionally engage the surrounding casing, the rings and sealant sealing the bore. Further, the rings can expand the heated casing for sealing casing/cement interfaces. The sealant solidifies and creates an impermeable mass sealing against surfaces of the mandrel, stack and casing.
