  • Patent number: 11943637
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and methods for creating and maintaining a virtual subnetwork of telecommunication base stations within a wider telecommunication network. In an LTE-based example, the subnetwork includes a connection aggregator that is coupled between the plurality of eNodeBs internal to the subnetwork and one or more MMEs in the outer network. The connection aggregator intercepts all control plane messages between the MMEs and the internal eNodeBs, remaps eNodeB identifiers, and transmits repackaged messages so that the outer network sees the entire subnetwork as a single “giant” eNodeB. The disclosed system and methods enables the operator of the virtual subnetwork to add and shut down eNodeBs as demand for connectivity fluctuates, and to do so such that all changes are unseen by the outer network.

  • Patent number: 11607036
Abstract: Systems and apparatus for heating or cooling food. A heating and cooling system for operative connection to a well includes a first manifold having a plurality of openings, each allowing a seal to be made against a first surface of a Peltier chip, and defines a flow path for a heat transfer fluid which directly contacts the first surfaces of a plurality of Peltier chips. The fluid circulates through tubing from the manifold to the well and connects to a flow space of a tray disposed therein. A second opposite manifold may be joined to the first manifold to form a block and defines a second flow path allowing direct contact with the second surfaces of the plurality of Peltier chips. The fluid circulates through tubing from the second manifold to a radiator. The manifolds may be joined to form a manifold block. The trays may be interchangeable.

  • Patent number: 11273927
Abstract: A micro-auxiliary power unit for supplying electric power to a vehicle includes a thermal resistant enclosure having an intake duct for receiving air, and a source of fuel. A fuel valve is fluidly coupled from the enclosure, and the fuel valve is movable between an opened position and a closed position. The micro-auxiliary power unit includes a Wankel engine to drive an output shaft and a starter-generator coupled to the output shaft to generate electric power. The micro-auxiliary power unit includes a system that has at least one sensor disposed within the enclosure that observes a condition of the enclosure and generates sensor signals, and a controller having a processor that receives the sensor signals, determines the presence of a thermal event within the enclosure and based on the determination, outputs one or more control signals to the fuel valve to move the fuel valve to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 11055945
Abstract: A method for access control of premises having a plurality of units includes receiving a selection of one or more units of the plurality of units associated with the premises from a first user via a primary interface device communicatively coupled to a network. The method also includes sending a call to one or more secondary interface devices based on the selection. The one or more secondary interface devices can be located in the one or more selected units. Further, the method includes monitoring for a trigger condition after the call is sent to the secondary interface device. Upon occurrence of the trigger condition, the method also includes forwarding, via the primary interface device, the call to a mobile device of a second user associated with the one or more units.

  • Patent number: 10405650
Abstract: Systems for heating or cooling a food service container to an appropriate temperature for service or transport, and cabinets including such systems. A first manifold allows a seal to be made against a first surface of one or more Peltier chips and defines a flow path for a heat transfer fluid which directly contacts the first surfaces of the Peltier chips. The fluid circulates through tubing from the first manifold to a first radiator. A second opposite manifold defines a flow path for a heat transfer fluid which directly contacts the second surfaces of the Peltier chips. The fluid then circulates through tubing from the second manifold to a second radiator. The first radiator may be disposed inside, and the second radiator outside, the cabinet. Application of current in a first direction to the Peltier chips can heat the cabinet and reversal of the current may cool the cabinet.
