  • Publication number: 20240054661
Abstract: A method for determining a trajectory of a vehicle within a physical space based at least on an aligned point cloud may include generating a fused feature map by concatenating a first feature map corresponding to a source point cloud and a second feature map corresponding to a target point cloud. A machine learning model may be applied to determine, based at least on the fused feature map, a relative transform aligning the target point cloud to the source point cloud. An aligned target point cloud may be generated by transforming the target point cloud in accordance with the relative transform. Furthermore, a trajectory of a vehicle within the physical space may be determined based on at least the first relative transform. Related systems and computer program products are also provided.

  • Patent number: 8893024
Abstract: Users of a collaborative online forum may be evaluated automatically with the results made available to a supervisor. In an example embodiment, a method involves accessing multiple posts that are associated with multiple users, with each post of the multiple posts including content. Post scores for the multiple posts are ascertained based on one or more features. User interactions are analyzed with regard to the multiple posts to identify relationships among the multiple users and the content included in the multiple posts. The post scores and the user interactions are evaluated to determine respective collaboration scores for respective users of the multiple users. A user interface that provides access to the collaboration scores is presented to a supervisor.

  • Publication number: 20090083026
Abstract: A summary of a text document may be presented in the form of a list of points. A summary of text can be created by choosing words or groups of words from the original text, by modifying words in the original text, etc. Collections of the chosen words can be presented in a list form together with a mark that indicates that the text is a list of words that might not form complete sentences. Presentation of a summary in list form may lower a reader's expectation as to readability issues such as sentence flow, word flow, etc., and thus the reader may be more accepting of a machine-generated summary presented in list form than of a machine generated summary presented as sentences or paragraphs.

  • Publication number: 20040102706
Abstract: In an ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system, the parameters which govern the display of Doppler information are automatically optimized to make better use of the display range or area. Spectral Doppler information may be used to optimize a spectral display or a colorflow display, and colorflow Doppler information may be used to optimize a spectral display or a colorflow display. The optimization may be invoked by a manual user control which automatically optimizes one or a plurality of display parameters. Automatic optimization may be invoked only when called for by the user, or periodically after a time interval, a given number of heart cycles, or when the user has made a change to the display or imaging mode. Preferably the optimization processor runs continuously in the background so that optimized parameters are available immediately when called for. The optimization processor may utilize “hidden” Doppler data which has been acquired but is not used for display purposes.

  • Patent number: 6612987
Abstract: The invention is directed towards an apparatus and method for selectively optimizing piezoelectric elements in an ultrasound transducer assembly for a given imaging mode. In one embodiment, a variable impedance network is interposed between an ultrasound processor and a transducer assembly and may be coupled to the transducer assembly to form either a series or a parallel connection with the transducer assembly. The network may be controlled by the processor to selectively alter the characteristics of the network. In another embodiment, the variable impedance network includes a pair of serially coupled inductors and a switch that permits one of the inductors to be controllably bypassed. In still another embodiment, the network includes a tapped inductor and a switch to permit the inductor tap to be controllably selected. In still another aspect, the inductor includes a tapped inductor having multiple taps, each tap selectable by a switch to optimize the network.
