Patent number: 6567114Abstract: A video-signal processing device connectable to an electronic endoscope capable of outputting a component-type electric analog color video signal. An analog-to-digital converter converts video-signal components of the component-type video signal into parallel digital color video-signal components. A color-conversion digital matrix circuit produces a parallel digital luminance signal-component, and two kinds of parallel digital color-difference signal-components based on the parallel digital color video-signal-components. A parallel-to-serial converter converts the luminance signal-component and digital color-difference signal-components into serial digital color video-signal-components. The electric analog video signal outputted from the electronic endoscope is fed outside the device as the serial electric digital video signal.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2002Date of Patent: May 20, 2003Assignee: Pentax CorporationInventors: Akihiro Takahashi, Kouhei Iketani

Publication number: 20020118388Abstract: A data transmission apparatus transmits, in response to a permission signal received from a higher-level data receiver, a required amount of data to the data receiver in a burst. The required amount of data is determined by data transmission control. Data transmission between the apparatus and the data receiver is effected at a preselected timing in such a manner as to absorb a difference between the amount of data to be transmitted over a preselected management time period and the data amount indicated by an expected control value. For this purpose, the apparatus calculates an adequate amount of data to be transmitted over the management time period as a unit amount. The apparatus then manages the maximum amount of data to be transmitted over the management time period for thereby leveling the amounts of data transmitted. This successfully enhances accurate data transmission.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2002Publication date: August 29, 2002Inventors: Takeshi Honda, Akihiro Takahashi

Patent number: 6337550Abstract: A submergence detection sensor installed in a vehicle, having a control circuit board mounted on the vehicle for controlling the operation of a power window which is opened/closed by an electric motor. A pair of pad-like electrodes are installed on the control circuit board which are electrically conductive upon entry of water to generate a leak current therebetween and a submergence detection circuit is connected to one of the electrodes to receive the leak current and to compare with a threshold value to discriminate whether the vehicle submerges into water. A slot is provided in a gap between the electrodes which penetrates the control circuit board such that water present at the gap is discharged from the control circuit board, thereby enabling to effect submergence detection when the vehicle, in fact, submerges in water, while without making false detections owing to water condensation on the control circuit board or migration occurring therein.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2000Date of Patent: January 8, 2002Assignee: Keihin CorporationInventors: Akihiro Takahashi, Yoshinobu Kirino

Publication number: 20010051763Abstract: A light source device comprises an aperture mechanism having a pair of aperture blades in an optical path formed between a light source and an incident end surface of a light guide on which an illuminating light is made incident. The first and second aperture blades are rotated, in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the optical path, about a movable shaft, which is parallel to the optical axis. The first and second aperture blades shade the luminous flux of the illuminating light, to adjust the amount of illuminating light, from the outer peripheries of the section of the luminous flux. A protruding plate is formed on an inside periphery of the first aperture blade. When the first aperture blade closes a half of the section, the protruding plate shades a swinging region above the center of the section of the luminous flux.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2001Publication date: December 13, 2001Applicant: ASAHI KOGAKU KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Hidehito Kurosawa, Akihiro Takahashi
