  • Patent number: 7412194
Abstract: The present invention provides a developing apparatus that can effectively prevent generation of a ghost due to poor detachment of a developer after development, and generation of unevenness in density between a left part and a right part of an image region due to lack of an amount of the developer transported. The developing apparatus satisfies the relationship r+R?d?3r+R where r denotes a rotational radius of a second developer transporting screw, R denotes a rotational radius of a development roller, and d denotes a center distance between the second developer transporting screw and the development roller. The developing apparatus also satisfies the relationship M0?(mg0×v×l)/0.

  • Publication number: 20070166064
Abstract: An image output apparatus capable of controlling the image density for a specific level in a short time and with accuracy and no control failure. When the values of manipulated variables that are control parameters of the output image quality or a controlled variable are calculated and the parameter values become out of the practically settable range in the course of obtaining new manipulated variables adjusted for controlling the output image quality for a specific level, the image density control unit of the image output apparatus corrects the data in the image density database that are used for comparison in obtaining the parameter values according to the current environmental state and repeats the calculation, whereby no control failure occurs and optimum parameter values are obtained; consequently, the output image quality can be controlled for a target level in a stable manner.

  • Publication number: 20050286086
Abstract: An image output apparatus for controlling an output image stably. The image output apparatus comprises a database for storing data giving a relation between manipulated variables and a controlled variable for a reference pattern. The apparatus estimates sets of values of the manipulated variables used when outputting an image of the reference pattern, by using the data on the database to obtain values of the manipulated variables from a desired value for the reference pattern. By means of detected values for a plurality of images of the reference pattern outputted according to the estimated values of the manipulated variables, set values of the manipulated variables for the desired value is calculated.

  • Patent number: RE38810
Abstract: An image heating device comprises a cylindrical heating roller with a Curie temperature of 210° C., a magnetization coil for magnetizing the heating roller with an alternating magnetic field, which is arranged inside the heating roller, and a nip portion for heating a recording material that carriers a toner image with heat from the heating roller, while the recording material is being conveyed along said nip portion. The ratio between the amount of heat generated in said heat-generating member at Curie temperature or higher to the amount of heat generated at room temperature in said heat-generating member is not more than ½. With this configuration, the heating roller can regulate its own temperature to stabilize at a temperature that is suitable for fixing, and the problems of partial overheating or underheating, unstable heat generation, or damage of the device can be eliminated.
