Abstract: An object is to provide a method for easily producing maleimide (MI) in which trace amounts of residual acid components as impurities in a crude MI are efficiently reduced, that is, the acid value is sufficiently reduced. <1> A method for producing purified MI, comprising reducing an acid value of crude MI by 50% or more, by adding carbodiimide (CDI) to a solution comprising the crude MI to react an acid component in the crude MI with the CDI. <2> The method for producing purified MI, comprising adding 0.5% by mass or more and 8% by mass or less of the CDI with respect to a mass of the crude MI for reaction. <3> The method for producing purified MI, wherein the CDI is N,N?-diisopropyl carbodiimide (DIC). <4> The method for producing purified MI, comprising removing a urea derivative of the CDI (CDI-U) by-produced when reacting the acid component in the crude MI with the CDI.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an additional training apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry stores, in a memory, a plurality of pieces of existing training data in which existing data is input data and a classification of defects according to the existing data is output data, and cluster data representing clusters to which the respective pieces of existing training data belong. The processing circuitry extracts a plurality of pieces of first existing training data from the pieces of existing training data in accordance with a size of each of the clusters. The processing circuitry acquires a plurality of pieces of new training data in which new data is input data and a classification of defects according to the new data is output data.

Abstract: A train monitoring device includes an obtaining unit to obtain device status information, a monitoring unit including an event detection definition, and an event detection program to interpret the event detection definition and check whether an event has occurred. When the event detection program monitors the status of the device, a first program included in the event detection program interprets and executes an intermediate language representation included in the event detection definition, and a second program included in the event detection program determines whether an event has occurred by using area information and storage information about a memory having stored therein a value that indicates whether an event has occurred, the area information and the storage information being included in the event detection definition. An output unit outputs an alarm indicating that the device is an anomalous status when the monitoring unit detects an anomaly in the device.
