  • Patent number: 7046343
Abstract: A read-out image is acquired by covering an image storage sheet, which contains a color image, with an image storage sheet pushing surface of a platen cover and reading out an image of a region on the image storage sheet pushing surface of the platen cover, the region on the image storage sheet pushing surface containing the image storage sheet. A region corresponding to the image storage sheet in the read-out image is then recognized. The image storage sheet pushing surface of the platen cover has a color other than colors which are ordinarily contained in image storage sheets. The region corresponding to the image storage sheet is recognized by judging that a pixel in the read-out image, which pixel represents a color different from the color of the image storage sheet pushing surface of the platen cover, is a pixel falling within the region corresponding to the image storage sheet.

  • Publication number: 20050289634
Abstract: Illegal use of a playlist can be prevented. A laboratory generates a playlist and encodes the playlist with a public key. The encoded playlist is recorded in a DVD. When a user carries out reproduction using the playlist on a personal computer, the personal computer compares token information thereof and token information included in an access ticket issued by an access ticket issuing center according to the token information of the personal computer. The personal computer carries out the reproduction by decoding the playlist with the private key in the access ticket only in the case where the token information thereof agrees with the token information in the access ticket.

  • Publication number: 20050237554
Abstract: Color reproducibility of a proof print agrees with color reproducibility of a print generated at a laboratory. Image data obtained by a user with a digital camera are printed by a printer to generate a proof print. The proof print is read by reading means in a laboratory and scanned image data are obtained. The scanned image data are converted into a Lab color space by first conversion means, and converted scanned image data are generated. A relationship between data values of original image data and the converted scanned image data is calculated as a look-up table by calculation means. Second conversion means converts the original image data based on the look-up table, and obtains converted original image data. Third conversion means converts the converted original image data into print image data, and printing means generates a print by printing the print image data.
