  • Publication number: 20200225737
Abstract: One or more processors provide image information to a wearable display device to produce a displayed image on a surface of the wearable display device that includes a first computer generated image (CGI) and a second CGI, wherein the first CGI represents a virtual object in a first position in the displayed image to coincide with a first shadow image included in a background display visible through the surface; and the second CGI represents an image corresponding to the background display and in a second position in the displayed image to hide a portion of a second shadow image included in the background display.

  • Publication number: 20180173393
Abstract: The principles disclose a method enabling a video zooming feature while playing back or capturing a video signal on a device (100). A typical example of device implementing the method is a handheld device such as a tablet or a smartphone. When the zooming feature is activated, the user double taps to indicate the area on which he wants to zoom in. This action launches the following actions: first, a search window (420) is defined around the position of the user tap, then human faces are detected in this search window, the face (430) nearest to the tap position is selected, a body window (440) and a viewing window (450) are determined according to the selected face and some parameters. The viewing window (450) is scaled so that it is only showing a partial area of the video. The body window (440) tracking (BW) will be tracked in the video stream and motions of this area within the video will be applied to the viewing window (450), so that it stays focused on the previously selected person of interest.

  • Publication number: 20170353306
Abstract: A method for pairing a first device with a second device is disclosed. A salient idea is to generate a discriminant and visually differentiable visual representation from a unique identifier of a device, to make it available for example together with the unique identifier on a printed package of the device, and to regenerate it for display as part of the pairing process. A user checking the displayed visual representation matches the printed visual representation of the package can successfully terminate a pairing process.

  • Patent number: 9685006
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and a device for inserting 3D graphic animation in a 3D image, each 3D graphic element of the graphic animation being defined in size and in depth for the insertion in a determined insertion zone of said 3D image. The method comprises the step of determining for the graphic element to be inserted a depth range with a maximum allowed depth value, replacing the out of range depth values by the maximum allowed depth value when depth values of the graphic element are out of range and compensating the depth difference between the depth values of the graphic element and the maximal allowed depth value in reducing the graphic element in size proportionally to the reduction of depth for the graphic element.

  • Publication number: 20140293003
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for processing a stereoscopic image comprising a first image L and a second image R, an object being embedded on the first and second images modifying the initial video content of pixels associated with the embedded object on the first and second images. In order to ensure coherence between the disparity associated with the embedded object and the video information associated with the pixels of first and second images, the method comprises steps for: detecting the position of the embedded object in the first and second images, estimating the disparity between the first image and the second image on at least part of the first and second images comprising said embedded object, determining the smallest depth value in said at least one part of images comprising the embedded object according to estimated disparity information, assigning a depth to the embedded object for which the value is less than said smallest depth value.

  • Publication number: 20130207971
Abstract: The invention consists in a method for generation of 3D image signals. A graphic object is inserted in said image at a determined depth. A frame of a determined thickness surrounds the object to be inserted. A transition zone is defined by the frame around the inserted graphic object. The depths of image elements of the transition zone vary progressively from the external edge to the internal edge of the frame of the graphic object to be inserted. The present invention also relates to a device for generation of said display signals.

  • Patent number: 7194034
Abstract: A method of detecting the reliability of a field of movement vectors of one image in a sequence of video images. The method includes a stage of calculating a stability parameter, Det_Stab(t), for the field. The parameter is based on a comparison (4), over two successive images, of the number of occurrences of the majority vectors of the movement-vectors fields of each of these images. A field is defined as stable if the variation in the number of occurrences lies within a predefined bracket. Reliability (7) is decided on the basis of this stability parameter.

  • Patent number: 6810145
Abstract: A process comprises a step (2) of creating histograms of an image representing the occurrences of the luminance values as a function of these values. A further step compares (5) a histogram of an image T(t) with a histogram of a previous image T(t−1), and is characterized in that the step of comparing (5) consists of calculating, for an occurrence histo13 lum (n,t) corresponding to a luminance value n in the image T(t), the absolute differences between this occurrence and the occurrences histo_lum (n+k, t−1) of the previous image, where K is a natural integer and varies from −K to +K. The process is further characterized by choosing the minimum value Min_Diff (n, t) from among these differences, and is characterized further by in summing (6) the minimum values for the set of luminance values of the histogram, and comparing (7) the sum obtained with a threshold.
