  • Publication number: 20250128645
Abstract: A work machine includes a tank of secondary battery coolant to act as a heat sink to cool a secondary battery. When a power unit is available for use to provide electrical power to the work machine, a secondary battery cooling system is used. The secondary battery cooling system includes a tank used to store secondary battery coolant. The secondary battery coolant stored in the tank is maintained within a temperature range using the refrigerant of an HVAC system that used to cool the cab of the work machine. When the power unit is available for use, the HVAC system is fluidically disconnected from cooling the secondary battery coolant stored in the tank. Thereafter, the secondary battery is cooled using the secondary battery coolant stored in the tank. Thus, the secondary battery coolant stored in the tank acts as a heat sink to remove heat from the secondary battery until the power unit is available for use.

  • Patent number: 12255833
Abstract: Approaches presented herein relate to visibility into network traffic associated with one or more groups of network resources. Approaches provide for automatic deployment and configuration of one or more visibility pods for individual groups of networked resources. A visibility pod may include at least one virtual compute instance to execute at least one analytical tool or application. A copy of network traffic for the monitored resources can be directed to an endpoint for a respective visibility pod, which can extract information (e.g., specific metadata about the traffic) to be analyzed by the analytical tools or applications. The results of the analysis can be written to a log file and/or data repository, and in some instances may be used to generate security alerts or other such notifications. A visibility pod can be automatically deployed and configured for any group of networked resources from which network traffic can be directed.

  • Patent number: 12234402
Abstract: The present invention relates to mesogen compounds that include a first mesogen (Mesogen-1) and a second mesogen (Mesogen-2) that are connected by a linking group (-L-), as represented by the following Formula (I): Mesogen-1, and optionally Mesogen-2, each independently include the following terminal group, where R is hydrogen, alkyl, or alkoxy. Mesogen-2 optionally includes a terminal group P—, which is selected from R, acrylate, methacrylate, trihalomethacrylate, oxirane, hydroxyl, carboxylic acid, and carboxylic acid ester. Mesogen-1 and Mesogen-2 together include a total of at least seven, or at least eight, cyclic groups. In some cases, Mesogen-1 and Mesogen-2 are the same. The present invention also relates to liquid crystal compositions that include such mesogen compounds, and to optical elements that include such mesogen compounds.
