    Abstract: A system and method are provided for an AV device for use with a video player, one or more speakers, and encoded AV data. The encoded AV data includes multiplexed encoded video data and encoded audio data. The AV device is connected to the speakers via wireless channels. The AV device is able to determine channel delays associated with each wireless channel; synchronize program clocks of the video player and speakers; determine and modify buffer levels of each speaker; demultiplex the encoded AV data to obtain encode video data and encoded audio data; and provide prefetched portions of encoded audio data based on buffer levels.

    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to a method and apparatus for training a smart device to recognize events in an indoor or outdoor venue. The smart device can execute program code for generating a specialized user interface. The smart device can record a target event in the venue or control another smart device to record the target event. The smart device can process the recording of the target event to generate an event signature. A unique tag for the recorded event can be generated, and the event signature and the unique tag can be transmitted to cloud storage. The smart device can receive event recordings from other smart devices in the venue and compare the event recordings to the event signatures in cloud storage. The smart device can generate at least one user or device prompt regarding the target event when the event recording matches an event signature.

    Abstract: Transmitting from a wireless router a live stream of time stamped multimedia packets from a server which is capable of providing a system time clock value is disclosed. The wireless router includes a queue for storing the time stamped multimedia packets received from the live streaming server. The wireless router also includes a processor for analyzing the priority of the time stamped multimedia packets stored in the queue, for comparing the time stamps to the system time clock value, for calculating a transmission time to a video client, and for determining a transmission window to transmit the time stamped multimedia packets. The time stamped multimedia packets are discarded if the packets cannot be transmitted within the transmission window, or the time stamped packets are immediately transmitted if they can be transmitted within the transmission window. The priority of the packets in queue may be re-sorted prior to transmission.

The media sending device then transfers the media content and the meta-data file to the receiving device, in response to receiving a request for the media content from the receiving device. Then, the media receiving device reproduces the media content based at least in part on information extracted from the meta-data file, in a manner indicated by the identifier.
