Abstract: A dispersion or solution of a free radical polymer, polycondensate or polyadduct, which consist of from 0.001 to 20% by weight of aldehyde groups --CHO or keto groups --CO--, contains, as a crosslinking agent, a compound having at least two H.sub.2 N--O---groups or oxime ether groups derived therefrom.

Abstract: Aqueous synthetic resin dispersions are obtainable by copolymerizingA) from 70 to 97.5 parts by weight of a monomer mixture containinga) from 40 to 75% by weight of butadiene (monomer I),b) from 25 to 60% by weight of acrylonitrile (monomer II),c) from 0 to 25% by weight of styrene (monomer III),d) from 0 to 10% by weight of one or more amides of .alpha.,.beta.-monoethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acids of 3 to 5 carbon atoms (monomers IV) ande) from 0 to 10% by weight of other copolymerizable monomers (monomers V) andB) from 2.5 to 30 parts by weight of one or more copolymerizable monovinyl compounds (monomers VI) in aqueous emulsion at from 30.degree. to 70.degree. C. by a method in which not less than 50% by weight of the monomer mixture A is prepolymerized to a conversion of not less than 80%, and the polymerization is then continued with the addition of the remaining monomers A and the monomers B.These dispersions are suitable as binders for protective coats on leather.

Abstract: Aqueous formulations suitable as sealing compounds or adhesives for ceramic tiles essentially containA) from 3 to 30% by weight of plastics particles which consist ofa) from 0.1 to 4% by weight of one or more mercaptosilanes of the general formula I ##STR1## where n is from 1 to 8, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrogen and/or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl and/or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, with the proviso that one or more of the radicals R.sup.3 to R.sup.5 is alkoxy, andb) ethylenically unsaturated monomers capable of undergoing free radical polymerization, as the residual amount,the polymer having a glass transition temperature of from -60 to +40.degree. Abstract: Aqueous dispersions of copolymers having a glass transition temperature of not more than -45.degree. C. and a K value greater than 80 consist of not less than 80% by weight of acrylates of alkanols of 8 to 12 carbon atoms, from 1 to 4% by weight of .alpha.,.beta.- monoolefinically unsaturated carboxylic acids and/or their amide derivatives and from 0.1 to 3% by weight of .alpha.-methylstyrene, and are used for the production of self-adhesive structures having good tack at as low as -40.degree. C.

Abstract: Cathodic coating agents which are rendered water-dilutable by the addition of an acid, contain binder systems possessing basic nitrogen groups and may or may not contain pigments, dyes, fillers, solvents, antioxidants, other surface coating assistants and/or additional crosslinking components, the binder system containing sulfonate and/or phosphonate groups or the esters of these groups in an amount of from 0.05 to 3% by weight, and the preparation of such products.The novel coating agents are useful for the cathodic electrocoating of electrically conductive substrates.
