  • Publication number: 20240105186
Abstract: A method for encoding an input audio stream including the steps of obtaining a first playback stream presentation of the input audio stream intended for reproduction on a first audio reproduction system, obtaining a second playback stream presentation of the input audio stream intended for reproduction on a second audio reproduction system, determining a set of transform parameters suitable for transforming an intermediate playback stream presentation to an approximation of the second playback stream presentation, wherein the transform parameters are determined by minimization of a measure of a difference between the approximation of the second playback stream presentation and the second playback stream presentation, and encoding the first playback stream presentation and the set of transform parameters for transmission to a decoder.

  • Publication number: 20220377257
Abstract: Computerized systems are provided for applying data indicative of a personal style to a feature of a user represented in one or more images based on determining or estimating the personal style. In operation, embodiments can receive a first image of a first user that indicates the personal style of the first user. The first image can then be fed to one or more machine learning models in order to learn and capture the personal style of the first user. Subsequently, some embodiments capture the first user in another image or set of images. Some embodiments can then detect one or more features of the first user in these other images and based on the determining of the user's personal style in the first image, can apply data indicative of the personal style of the first user to the one or more features of the user in these other images.

  • Patent number: 11361770
Abstract: Computerized systems are provided for determining an identity of one or more users that use a same audio source, such as a microphone. The identity of one or more users that use a same audio source can based on generating a list of participant candidates who are likely to participate in an associated event, such as a meeting. For instance, embodiments can generate one or more network graphs of a meeting invitee any only voice input samples of the meeting invitee's N closest connections are compared to an utterance to determine the identity of the user associated with the utterance. One or more indicators that identify the users who are using the same audio source, as well as additional information or metadata associated with the identified user can be caused to be presented.

  • Patent number: 5865073
Abstract: A torque machine, for making or breaking screw-threaded joints between lengths of pipe, includes a rotatable head having an aperture into which a length of pipe is introduced, the rotatable head including a number of tongs which are spaced apart around the aperture and can be moved inwardly to grip the length of pipe. A separate jaw collar is provided for location between the tongs and the pipe, the collar comprising a number of part-annular sectors which are connected by springs or elastic links so that the collar is expansible to accommodate slight variations in pipe diameter. Collars of different internal diameters are used according to the diameter of the pipes to be joined. The collar may be of aluminium or other comparatively soft material to avoid marking of the pipes.

  • Patent number: 4381125
Abstract: An hydraulically-operated anti-skid braking system includes a pump rotatable with a wheel to be braked and of the type which, once a predetermined minimum wheel speed is attained, produces a constant output flow irrespective of any further increase in the wheel speed, and a fixed orifice through which the output flow from the pump is circulated to provide a back pressure which is utilized to control the application of a brake. Since the pump is rotatable with a wheel to be braked by the brake, the wheel is automatically prevented from locking.

  • Patent number: 4355849
Abstract: In an anti-skid braking system a brake is applied in response to the pressure of a supply of hydraulic fluid passed through a first variable orifice from a pump rotatable with rotation of a wheel to be braked so that the wheel is automatically prevented from locking. The system incorporates a second variable orifice in combination with a pre-loaded spring against which a shuttle provided with the orifice is adapted to be displaced to reduce the pressure of the supply from the pump.

  • Patent number: 4283992
Abstract: A vehicle brake system in which an output member is axially displaceable by the application of differential fluid pressure, under the control of a valve operable by an input member, across a movable internal wall which divides a housing of the booster into a pair of fluid chambers. Displacement of the movable wall is communicated to the output member via a lever mechanism providing a mechanical advantage between said movable wall and the output member. The lever mechanism comprises first and second levers. The second lever is pivotable relative to the input and output members at respective pivot points.

  • Patent number: 4250981
Abstract: A vehicle drum brake has a shoe mounted on a back plate, one end of the shoe engaging an actuator and the other end engaging an abutment. To avoid the use of a fluid pressure control valve to vary the braking effort of the brake in dependence upon vehicle loading, the abutment is in the form of a roller which engages an arcuate member on the shoe, the roller being movable laterally of the shoe to vary the braking effort for a given actuating force. The roller may be connected to a pivoted lever which is rotatably mounted in the back plate and which is connected to a sprung part of the vehicle by a linkage. Movement of the sprung part due to changes in vehicle loading rotates the lever and moves the roller.
