  • Publication number: 20100162905
Abstract: A “fat eraser” system provides a housing for supporting and possibly enclosing a low temperature heat absorbing material and having a thermally conductive area of material in a shallow conic shape which can be brought into contact with a volume of food to enable a low temperature solidification of fat onto the thermally conductive area of material. A combination storage stand and fat scraping body includes scraping blades having an upper contour which is complementary to the shallow conic shape of the thermally conductive area of material to provide a self-centering ability to cleanly scrape and remove and collect any solidified fat from the thermally conductive area of material by rotating the thermally conductive area of material about its conical center and against the combination storage stand and fat scraping body.

  • Publication number: 20100064524
Abstract: A vibrating peeler uses a vibrator in the form of a more powerful motor plus larger weight and within an inner housing. The inner housing is placed in an outer housing and a damper is placed between the outer handle and inner housing. Several embodiments are shown for blade loading. An alternative embodiment light weight eccentric which drives a heavier mass, but only back and forth rather than a circular pattern. This vibrating arrangement puts more lateral motion to the blade, and avoids other motion in directions not parallel to the blade.

  • Publication number: 20100042113
Abstract: A volumetric stainless steel structure is provided by punch pressing a single blank and results in a volumetric presentation of alternating bands of stainless steel material. The spacing of the bands is sufficient to provide (1) an interruption in the surface to surface contact which might entrap organic species and (2) a space which allows the epidermis to be scrubbed, manipulated and massaged by the rounded edge of the bands as the hands manipulate it in a way similar the manipulation of soap. Further, the alternating bands provide internal surface area, in the form of the inside of the bands which are protruding, for additional adsorptive area.

  • Publication number: 20100011972
Abstract: A thaw plate has a separate, self support motor unit which has an air exhaust which can be brought into proximity of an inlet opening of a plate support tray to cause air to flow underneath a thermal conduction plate in a manner that will cause thawing to occur. In a first embodiment a battery powered fan will cool the bottom of a thaw plate. The use of a fan to cause air to sweep across the bottom of the conduction plate will insure that enough flow will be present that the plate will not sweat or freeze. A second embodiment includes an air density chimney will be used to passively create a stream of air which will sweep a thermal conduction plate to create a warm air flow to enhance the thawing process in proportion to the difference in temperature between the thawing masses and the room temperature air.

  • Patent number: 7636975
Abstract: An improved pool vacuum includes a filter cone and poppet valve combination which enables quick drainage of water which has passed through and been cleaned by the cleaner's filter. A charging circuit is provided with isolation so that the pool vacuum can be used in an electrolytic environment without battery drainage. A combination charger and hang bracket enables the pool vacuum to be stored in a vertical position to both drain and charge simultaneously. An interstitial open exhaust gap between a rear body and nose-cone shaped front section provides a low pressure drop free exhaust area for an impeller. An optionally obstructed bottom gap portion helps to produce a net downward thrust to assist in using the vacuum in deep pools from a long pole structure.

  • Patent number: 7635101
Abstract: A battery powered, automatic feed, disc type grater with a storage cover, interchangeable discs and waterproof motor gives users the ability for one touch operation and extended refrigerator storage and tap water cleaning of the components of the grater. A storage cap/container provides extended storage capability, while a ring stand enables the grater to be operated with the touch of a button while the grater is suspended over an area into which grated material may fall. A pusher assembly provides constant and automatic pressure on a material to be grated and against a grater disk, and a divider sleeve derives turning resistance for material to be grated from the pusher assembly while protecting the holder from contact with the material to be grated.

  • Patent number: 7533838
Abstract: A spice mill uses one touch button control and a common driven shaft to operate a pair of oppositely disposed grinding mills simultaneously. In environments which are more sophisticated and formal, the users will know which spice will be dispensed through the slightly smaller end and which spice will be dispensed through the slightly larger end, and without having to label the dispenser. In addition, the one touch button is large and easily accessible by almost any finger of the hand used to hold the center section.

  • Publication number: 20080308661
Abstract: A linear movement food processor may have a battery or power supply operation for portability and includes a set of reversible legs to enable it to be positioned over a plate or container. A series of blades are provided with an external mounting and storage area for quick selection. The drive mechanism utilizes a circular path pin engaging a drive slot on a cutter plate, with the drive mechanism being directly liftable so that the remaining structure of the food processor may be immersibly washed. One embodiment has a cutting stroke of 2.5 inches with a forward cutting stroke of about 0.25 seconds and a return stroke of about 0.25 seconds. In one embodiment a processed food catcher/storage box is provided for processed food collection and stowage/storage of the food processor unit.

  • Publication number: 20080236407
Abstract: A portable nutcracker includes a handle member and a retaining member which are fittable together and axially adjustable with respect to one another. The nutcracker includes a battery powered motor which drives an epicyclic outputting to a threaded shaft on which a ram travels linearly toward and away from an anvil on the retaining member. As a safety feature, the ram advances only when the power button is activated, and retracts automatically when the power button is released. As a power-saving feature, the nutcracker automatically powers down when the ram reaches its forward or backward limit of motion. Faster action may be achieved by adjusting the retaining member relative to the handle member to decrease the space between the ram and the anvil prior to activating the motor.
