Publication number: 20240081941Abstract: Ultrasound imaging is a non-invasive, non-radioactive, and low cost technology for diagnosis and identification of implantable medical devices in real time. Developing new ultrasound activated coatings is important to broaden the utility of in vivo marking by ultrasound imaging. Ultrasound responsive macro-phase segregated micro-composite thin films were developed to be coated on medical devices composed of multiple materials and with multiple shapes and varying surface area. The macro-phase segregated films having silica micro-shells in polycyanoacrylate produces strong color Doppler signals with the use of a standard clinical ultrasound transducer. Electron microscopy showed a macro-phase separation during slow curing of the cyanoacrylate adhesive, as air-filled silica micro-shells were driven to the surface of the film. The air sealed in the hollow space of the silica shells acted as an ultrasound contrast agent and echo decorrelation of air exposed to ultrasound waves produces color Doppler signals.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Jian Yang, Alexander Liberman, James Wang, Christopher Barback, Natalie Mendez, Erin Ward, Sarah Blair, Andrew C. Patent number: 11849391Abstract: Example implementations relate to determining when to adjust a power state of access points. A non-transitory computer readable medium may store instructions executable by a processing resource to: determine a subset of a group of access points (APs) that is to provide, to a client device, at least a performance threshold during a particular time interval, wherein an AP of the subset of the group of APs serves the client device; and determine when to adjust a power state of a remaining AP of the group of APs based on: a first degree of performance being provided by a first set of radios of the subset of the group of APs; and a second degree of performance to be provided by the remaining AP of the group of APs if the group of client devices is provided a network connectivity via a second radio of the remaining AP of the group of APs.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2022Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LPInventors: Jose Tellado, Bernd Bandemer, Alexander Mendez, Hilmi Gunes Kayacik, Charlie Hogg

Patent number: 11363527Abstract: Example implementations relate to adjusting power states of access points based on a power model. A non-transitory computer readable medium may store instructions executable by a processing resource to: in response to a client device being associated with an access point (AP) of a group of APs, determine: a first degree of performance being provided to the client device via a first radio of the AP of a group of APs; and a second degree of performance to be provided to the client device via a second radio of the group of APs, if the client device is provided a network connectivity via the second radio; determine, based on the first degree of performance and the second degree of performance, a subset of the group of APs whose power state is adjustable to a different power state; and adjust a power state of the subset of the group of APs.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2019Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LPInventors: Jose Tellado, Bernd Bandemer, Alexander Mendez, Hilmi Gunes Kayacik, Charlie Hogg

Patent number: 11234197Abstract: Example implementations relate to predicting power states of access points (APs). A non-transitory computer readable medium may store instructions executable by a processing resource to: in response to a first client device being associated with a first access point (AP) of a group of APs, determine a first degree of performance a second AP of the group is to provide if the first client device is associated with the second AP; and predict, based on the determined degree of performance, a second degree of performance the group of AP is to provide to a second client device if the second client device is associated with the group of APs during a first time interval at a location.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2019Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LPInventors: Jose Tellado, Bernd Bandemer, Alexander Mendez, Hilmi Gunes Kayacik, Charlie Hogg

Publication number: 20190268721Abstract: In some examples, a system provides a machine learning model trained based on historical data including network-observed parameters for devices associated with a network. The system inputs values of the network-observed parameters for a first device into the machine learning model, the input values being from a plurality of devices in the network. The machine learning model produces information relating to a location or mobility of the first device.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2018Publication date: August 29, 2019Inventors: Jose Tellado, Bernd Bandemer, Alexander Mendez

Patent number: 9145996Abstract: A lower extremity dryer which allows a person to dry his/her lower extremities without having to bend over is disclosed. The lower extremity dryer has a conduit with an interior which extends from first portion an elevated position to a second portion which lies along a bathroom floor or along some other surface. The second portion has a plurality of outlets allowing air flow from the interior of the conduit to travel out of the conduit. The travel of airflow out of the conduit dries a person's lower extremities. A displaceable cover on the second portion allows a user to select the side of the lower extremity dryer from which the air flows.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2013Date of Patent: September 29, 2015Inventors: Joseph Alexander Mendez, Patsy Ruiz-Mendez, Joshua Bryn Mendez, Ryan Joseph Mendez
