  • Publication number: 20240107570
Abstract: A network device may receive data for multiple wireless channels. The network device may determine an activity level or score for one or more of the wireless channels based on the received data. The network device may determine, based on the activity level for each wireless channel, a portion of the wireless channels that satisfy an activity level threshold. The network device may generate a ranking of the portion of the wireless channels that satisfy the activity level threshold. The ranking may be based on the activity level or score of each wireless channel. The network device may determine a wireless channel based on the ranking and may send an indication of the wireless channel to a user device.

  • Patent number: 11470579
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe using a dual assess point (AP) to establish two access points that both are established by two individual radios (e.g., two 5 GHz radios). Generally, APs experience highly degraded performance when two co-located radios operate within the same band. In one embodiment, AP devices can deploy same band radios using a macro-micro cell approach. Thus, the AP may intelligently hand off client devices between the micro and macro cell in a way that optimizes the system for overall throughput and low packet latency while creating minimal oscillation of clients between cells. The embodiments in this disclosure disclose techniques that direct clients in a manner that optimizes these factors.

  • Patent number: 8245278
Abstract: Client adapter and method simplify security deployment in an EPN, including the shared services electrical power lines of a premises. With direct coupling, piggybacked adapter receives network signals and electrical from EPN-connected first adapter through a shared medium port. An authenticating adapter exchanges security management services and information with supplicant adapter. Two or more adapters may be piggybacked. Piggybacked adapters exchange security management service information without rogue intrusion. Exchanged information, stored, is later used to communicate securely. Defined adjacency (neighborhood) information can be exchanged, and a neighborhood established on an EPN, where one authorized neighbors securely communicate.

  • Patent number: 8081771
Abstract: In one embodiment, an audio recorder is disclosed that interfaces with an automobile radio. The audio recorder includes a radio tuner that receives radio frequency signals and converts the signals to audio output and an audio comparator that compares audio output from the radio tuner with audio output of the automobile radio and tunes the radio tuner until the audio output of the audio tuner is synchronized with the audio output of the automobile radio. An audio storage device is activatable to record the audio output of the radio tuner for later playback.

  • Publication number: 20070177514
Abstract: VoIP verification is initiated by subscriber-side test VoIP appliance, or VoIP proxy agent. Test VoIP appliance is coupled to test node over a communications internetwork by upstream and downstream datapaths. VoIP verification request is transmitted to test node. Responsively, test node transmits VoIP verification signal to test VoIP appliance. Perceivable indication of verification signal received by VoIP appliance is effected by visual display, audible indication, or both. Operational state verifier apparatus is disposed in a digital telephony device, a computer terminal, or with an ATA interface coupled to analog telephony device used in VoIP communications system.

  • Publication number: 20070180081
Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, a proxy server includes a memory and a communication unit. The memory is configured to store and retrieve a client device identifier and an associated client device transport address, while the communication unit is configured to send and receive messages. The communication unit is configured to receive an identification message according to a first protocol from a client device through at least one intermediate network address translator (NAT). The identification message includes the client device identifier and conveys the client device transport address. The communication unit is configured to receive a request message from an admin device including the client device identifier. The proxy server is configured to retrieve the associated client device transport address and instruct the client device to open a connection with the proxy server according to a second protocol that is different from the first protocol.
