    Abstract: The invention is a new acoustic panel and sound barrier constructed therefrom in which the panel is composed of a layer of fine aggregate concrete and a layer of chemically mineralized and neutralized fibres blended with portland cement. The panel may have a tongue and groove to form airtight joints. The barrier is effective, fire proof, weather resistant, corrosion resistant and not adversely affected by chemical herbicides.
