    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a magnetic recording head having an exchange biased leading shield or leading edge shield (LES). The LES is a bilayer structure. One or more layers are coupled below the LES such that the LES is disposed between the main pole and the one or more layers. The one or more layers exchange bias the LES such that the upper layer of the LES has a magnetization parallel to the magnetization of the trailing shield. The lower layer of the LES has a magnetization that is antiparallel to the magnetization of the upper layer of the LES. The one or more layers set the preferred direction for the lower layer of the LES and sets the LES as a two-domain state without relying upon the anisotropy field (Hk) of either the upper or lower layers of the LES.

    Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to data storage devices, and more specifically, to a magnetic media drive employing a magnetic recording head. The head includes a main pole, a trailing shield, and a MAMR stack including at least one magnetic layer. The magnetic layer has a surface facing the main pole, and the surface has a first side at a media facing surface (MFS) and a second side opposite the first side. The length of the second side is substantially less than the length of the first side. By reducing the length of the second side, the area to be switched at a location recessed from the MFS is reduced as a current flowing from the main pole to the trailing shield or from the trailing shield to the main pole. With the reduced area of the magnetic layer, the overall switch time of the magnetic layer is decreased.

A primitive may also include default action information specifying an action to be performed with respect to the command if a communication between the intercept filter and the intercept manager is interrupted. The intercept engine intercepts commands transmitted between the file system and the storage device in accordance with the one or more primitives.

A processor receives the sensor data of the grow out system, and determines, based on the sensor data of the grow out system, a metered quantity of aquafeed to provide. The processor transmits a control signal to the controller causing activation of the feed dispenser to measure and project the metered quantity of aquafeed via the feed dispensing nozzle.

    Abstract: Described herein are decellularized extracellular matrix for mechanically supporting engineered vascular grafts. Methods are provided for fabricating all-natural, non-immunogenic, strong products that do not rely on common plastic supports. Also provided are bench-top models of atherosclerosis. Embodiments provide completely inclusive models that contain all steps of atherosclerosis, including late-stage disease processes. Example models utilize tissue engineered blood vessels (TEBV); stages of atherosclerosis are induced for instance by application of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDLs) (early-stage), followed by macrophage introduction (early-stage), and induction of calcification using calcified protein particles (CPPs; late-stage).     Abstract: A technique facilitates detection and analysis of constituents, e.g. chemicals, which may be found in formation fluids and/or other types of fluids. The technique comprises intermittently introducing a first fluid and a second fluid into a channel in a manner which forms slugs of the first fluid separated by the second fluid. The intermittent fluids are flowed through the channel to create a mixing action which mixes the fluid in the slugs. The mixing increases the exchange, e.g. transfer, of the chemical constituent between the second fluid and the first fluid. The exchange aids in sensing an amount of the chemical or chemicals for analysis. In many applications, the intermittent introduction, mixing, and measuring can be performed in a subterranean environment.
