Abstract: This description provides an autonomous or semi-autonomous excavation vehicle that is capable of navigating through a dig site and carrying out an excavation routine using a system of sensors physically mounted to the excavation vehicle. The sensors collect any one or more of spatial, imaging, measurement, and location data representing the status of the excavation vehicle and its surrounding environment. Based on the collected data, the excavation vehicle executes instructions to carry out an excavation routine. The excavation vehicle is also able to carry out numerous other tasks, such as checking the volume of excavated earth in an excavation tool, and helping prepare a digital terrain model of the site as part of a process for creating the excavation routine.

  • Publication number: 20200067799
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for gathering data for logical network traffic analysis by sampling flows of packets forwarded through a logical network. Some embodiments are implemented by a set of network virtualization controllers that, on a shared physical infrastructure, can implement two or more sets of logical forwarding elements that define two or more logical networks. In some embodiments, the method (1) defines an identifier for a logical network probe, (2) associates this identifier with one or more logical observation points in the logical network, and (3) distributes logical probe configuration data, including sample-action flow entry data, to one or more managed forwarding elements that implement the logical processing pipeline at the logical observation points associated with the logical network probe identifier.

  • Publication number: 20200066330
Abstract: A memory refresh method is applied to a computer system including a memory controller and a dynamic random access memory (DRAM). The memory controller receives access requests including access requests for accessing a first rank of multiple ranks in the DRAM. When a quantity of the access requests for accessing the first rank is greater than 0 and less than a second threshold, the memory controller refreshes the first rank. The first rank may be refreshed in time even if the first rank cannot be in an idle state.

  • Publication number: 20200067585
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In aspects of the present disclosure, a user equipment (UE) may report metrics (e.g., received signal power, beam identifier) about synchronization signal (SS) beams using the same (e.g., or a similar) framework that is used for channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) reporting. Because SSs are intended to be broadcast across a wide coverage area in a beamformed manner, the SSs represent a promising complement to existing beam management techniques. Accordingly, beam management may be achieved at least in part based on reporting one or more metrics of beamformed SSs through a channel feedback framework.

  • Publication number: 20200063570
Abstract: A turbine blade having an airfoil profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y, and Z set forth in Table 1, where the X and Y values are in inches and the Z values are non-dimensional values from 0 to 1 and convertible to Z distances in inches by multiplying the Z values by the height of the airfoil in inches. The X and Y values are distances which, when connected by smooth continuing arcs, define airfoil profile sections at each distance Z. The profile sections at each distance Z are joined smoothly to one another to form an airfoil shape. The X, Y, and Z distances may be scaled as a function of the same constant number and the X, Y, and Z distances lie within an envelope of approximately +/?0.032 inches in directions normal to the airfoil.

  • Publication number: 20200064782
Abstract: A system is described herein for controlling an inverter comprising an artificial neural network (ANN) and a space vector pulse-width modulation converter. The ANN comprises an input layer, plurality of hidden layers, an output layer, and a processor. The ANN receives a plurality of input signals and produces output signals that control a SVPWM converter. The ANN is trained to minimize a cost function and to implement optimal control based on ADP. Further, the ANN can be configured to handle rated current and PWM saturation constraints in providing volt/VAR control functions. Finally, the ANN uses averaged feedback signals instead of instantaneous feedback signals to improve volt/VAR control performance of parallel inverters. Performance evaluation shows that an ANN controller has a strong ability to maintain volt and VAR control at the grid edge and prevent fighting between inverters thereby allowing an inverter to work effectively in parallel with other ANN-controlled inverters.

T is a standard average refresh interval, and N is greater than 1. The memory refresh technology provided in this application can improve performance of the computer system in a memory refresh process.

  • Publication number: 20200065969
Abstract: Various approaches provide improved segmentation from raw data. Training samples are generated by medical imaging simulation from digital phantoms. These training samples provide raw measurements, which are used to learn to segment. The segmentation task is the focus, so image reconstruction loss is not used. Instead, an attention network is used to focus the training and trained network on segmentation. Recurrent segmentation from the raw measurements is used to refine the segmented output. These approaches may be used alone or in combination, providing for segmentation from raw measurements with less influence of noise or artifacts resulting from a focus on reconstruction.

  • Patent number: 10573031
Abstract: Deep reinforcement machine learning is used to control denoising (e.g., image regularizer) in iterative reconstruction for MRI compressed sensing. Rather than requiring different machine-learnt networks for different scan settings (e.g., acceleration of the MR compressed sensing), reinforcement learning creates a policy of actions to provide denoising and data fitting through iterations of the reconstruction given a range of different scan settings. This allows a user to scan as appropriate for the patient, the MR system, the application, and/or preferences while still providing an optimized reconstruction under sampling resulting from the MR compressed sensing.
