  • Patent number: 4301680
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the power of heat radiation, comprising a sensitive element implemented, for example, as an electrically conductive filament adapted to be displaced in a heat radiation flux at a stabilized speed. Connected to the sensitive element is a meter for registering the variations of the temperature of the sensitive element, resulted from the heat radiation.A system for measuring the power of a heat radiation, comprising at least three such apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 4217560
Abstract: According to the invention, the gas laser comprises a housing which accommodates two electrodes. One of the electrodes is sectional and has a ballast resistor connected to each section. One of the electrodes is so secured in the housing that it is possible to vary the spacing between the electrodes in the direction of the flow of a gas mixture passed through an active zone between the electrodes where the laser effect is produced. The invention provides for a maximum efficiency of the laser under different operating conditions.
