    Abstract: Small form factor omnidirectional UWB antennas are disclosed. The disclosed antennas comprise a dielectric substrate, a radiator element, a ground plane element, and cabling, typically of coaxial construction with industry-standard end connectors, to facilitate attachment to external devices and electronics. To further facilitate installation, the substrate may be adhesively backed. Radiator elements may be of various geometries and may contain one or more slots, notches, and/or apertures. Likewise, ground plane elements of may embody various geometries. For a given application, the radiator element and ground plane element may be selected and combined to achieve desired antenna performance.
