    Abstract: A vehicle control system for at least one vehicle subsystem of a vehicle; the vehicle control system comprising a subsystem controller for initiating control of the or each of the vehicle subsystems in a selected one of a plurality of different subsystem control modes, each of which corresponds to one or more different driving conditions for the vehicle. Evaluation means are provided for evaluating one or more driving condition indicators to determine the extent to which each of the subsystem control modes is appropriate and for providing an output to the subsystem controller that is indicative of the control mode which is most appropriate. This may be an evaluation means for calculating the probability that the or each of the subsystem control modes is appropriate. Automatic control means may be operable in an automatic response mode to select an appropriate one of the subsystem control modes in dependence on the output.

    Abstract: A method for operating a speed control system of a vehicle is provided. The method comprises identifying a torque required to achieve a desired operating parameter of the vehicle. The method further assessing whether the required torque exceeds a predetermined torque limit, and when it does, determining if it is appropriate to increase the torque limit. When it is determined that it is appropriate to do so, the method further comprises increasing the predetermined torque limit. A speed control system of a vehicle comprising an electronic control unit configured to: determine a torque required to achieve a desired operating parameter of the vehicle, assess whether the required torque exceeds a predetermined torque limit; when the torque exceeds the torque limit, determine if it is appropriate to increase the torque limit; and when it is determined that it is appropriate to do so, increase the torque limit, is also provided.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for segmenting tissue within a computed tomography (CT) scan of a region of interest into one of a plurality of tissue classes. A plurality of atlases are registered to the CT scan to produce a plurality of registered atlases. A context model representing respective likelihoods that each voxel of the CT scan is a member of each of the plurality of tissue classes is determined from the CT scan and a set of associated training data. A proper subset of the plurality of registered atlases is selected according to the context model and the registered atlases. The selected proper subset of registered atlases are fused to produce a combined segmentation.

Entropy balancing is a statistical technique for preprocessing data to achieve covariate balance. Weighting coefficients may be dynamically adjusted to satisfy balance conditions or constraints to adjust for inequalities in representation, thereby improving covariate moments. Using entropy balancing and linear regression analysis with panel content exposure and results data provides a mechanism to estimate the effects of multiple exposure vectors simultaneously, including instances where panelists are exposed to a vector multiple times. Data may be obfuscated or anonymized for preprocessing via a double-encrypted intersection-based extraction mechanism, allowing both measurement systems and panel providers to retain confidential information.
