  • Patent number: 11532011
Abstract: A promotion processing system may include a point-of-sale terminal at a store to collect purchased product identifiers from products being purchased, and a promotion generation server. The server may obtain the collected purchased product identifiers from the point-of-sale terminal, determine a store-transaction count based upon the collected purchased product identifiers, and for each purchased product identifier, map the corresponding product to an aisle location within the store. The server may determine a corresponding aisle-transaction count for the aisle location corresponding to each product based upon the mapped aisle locations, and determine shopper paths of travel within the store based upon the store- and aisle-transaction counts. The server may identify a location within the store for an aisle violator sign for a promoted product located in one of the aisle locations based upon the shopper paths of travel and the aisle-transaction counts, and generate a digital promotion for the promoted product.

  • Publication number: 20220039462
Abstract: A smoking pipe for smoking a tobacco product has an elongated pipe body with a passage therethrough a mouthpiece portion at the first end of the pipe body and a chamber formed in the second end of the pipe body opposite to the mouthpiece portion. A cartridge removably supported within the chamber receives the tobacco product therein. The cartridge can be slidably removed to allow the chamber to be cleaned and refilled simply by removing the cartridge and replacing the cartridge with a new, clean cartridge having fresh smoking product optionally already packed therein. The pipe body may be optionally formed in two body sections joined to one another by respective magnetic couplers at the abutted inner ends of the two body sections.

  • Publication number: 20210046218
Abstract: The present invention comprises a polymeric based femoral and/or tibial component implant to be used in total knee replacement/arthroplasty procedures serving to provide increased wear resistance, enhanced physiological response at the bone/implant interface, and decreased stress-shielding. The implant can be made via additive manufacturing. The articulating surface of the implant may be implemented in without any additive or in a form containing an additive for improved tribological response. Further, the device disclosed herein contains an interfacial surface which is in contact with the native bone (i.e., bone/implant interface) which may exist in its pure form, containing a bioactive additive. The implant has a porous morphology on the bone/implant interface for improved biological response and improved fixation. The depth of the additives and the topographical morphology therein are controlled via techniques disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 10913674
Abstract: An apparatus (12) for treating water, in particular for removing surfactants from waste water, includes a vessel (14), defining an inlet (16) for receiving waste water containing air bubbles, and an outlet (20) for the exit of water, following treatment. Inside the vessel there is at least one tubular member (50) having a lower open end (52) into which the flow of waste water from the inlet may be directed in use. The tubular member (50) extends from the inlet towards a top of the vessel where an upper exit (54) from the tubular member is defined. In use, most un-aerated water entering the vessel through the inlet can exit the tubular member at the lower open end. Foam formed in the water by the air bubbles may travel up the tubular member to the upper exit, which is preferably located above the water level (60) in the vessel.
