  • Patent number: 9342532
Abstract: A system and method for lost and found includes enabling information about found objects to be stored in real time. The method further includes enabling adjustment of a field of view of an interactive map. The method further includes receiving a search input for search of a lost object. The method further includes performing a search for the lost object based on at least the stored information about the found objects, the search input, and the field of view of the interactive map. The method further includes enabling results of the search to be overlaid on the interactive map.

  • Patent number: 8971819
Abstract: A system for measuring power consumption by a mobile device corresponding to access of web pages is provided. The system includes: the mobile device, configured to access web pages via a wireless network; a power measurement device connected to a battery of the mobile device, configured to measure parameters related to power consumption; and a server, in communication with the mobile device and the power measurement device, configured to control the mobile device's access of web pages and control the power measurement device's measurement of parameters, to receive measurements from the power measurement device, and to process the received measurements so as to correlate the mobile device's access of a web page with an amount of power consumed corresponding to the mobile device's access of the web page.

  • Patent number: 8880707
Abstract: A method for managing TCP flows in a mobile device adapted to connect to two or more wireless network types includes enabling connection to a number of networks of different types at the mobile device and executing a plurality of Internet-enabled applications on the mobile device. Each such application forms an existing TCP connection over a first one of the wireless networks. The routing table is modified such that any additional TCP connection will be created on a second one of the wireless networks. The device determines that a termination condition has occurred and in response to determining that the termination condition has occurred, renders an interface on the mobile device to the first one of the wireless networks inoperative.

  • Patent number: 8750188
Abstract: A client-based system for use in a mobile client device in communication with a remote server device provides for dynamically switching among multiple wireless interfaces on the mobile client device. The system includes a first interface for communicating over a cellular network, a second interface for communicating over a WiFi network, and a computer-readable medium within the mobile client device, having thereon computer-executable instructions for switching one or more connection-oriented sessions from one of the first and second interfaces to the other based on a selection policy selected from an energy saving selection policy, an offload selection policy, and a performance selection policy.

  • Patent number: 8462919
Abstract: A system and method for call logging and retrieval includes receiving a call log of a first call made by a user. The call log of the first call may include, for example, the start and end time of the call, and/or the like. The context for the call is provided by the user. A call record is stored for each call of a number of calls made to and from the user. The record for the first call includes the call log of the first call and the context for the first call.
