Abstract: Described are pharmaceutical compositions containing neurotrophically effective amount of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) as active ingredient together with pharmaceutical excipients and their use in the method of treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, such as Parkinsonism and disorders of traumatic origin.

Abstract: A diastereoselective process for the preparation of compounds of formula ##STR1## (wherein R and R.sub.1 have the meanings reported in the specification and the asterisks show the asymmetric carbon atoms) starting from the corresponding N-protected 2-amino-3-aryl-propan-1-ol is described.The compounds of formula I are intermediates useful for the synthesis of pharmacologically active peptides.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition, comprising: Coenzyme Q.sub.10 (ubidecarenone) 2-17% by weight; Lecithin 50-70% by weight; Surfactant agent 20-48% by weight. The surfactant agent has a melting point comprised between 35.degree. and 55.degree. C. and a HLB value from 12 to 15. Said composition provides a high absorption of Coenzime Q.sub.10.
