Abstract: There are provided compositions and methods for prevention or treatment of Clostridium difficile infection. More specifically, there are provided Clostridium difficile BclA3 spore glycoproteins, as well as glycopeptides and glycans thereof, and their use as a vaccine against Clostridium difficile. Methods of inducing immunity against Clostridium difficile comprising administering a vaccine or an antibody directed against a Clostridium difficile BclA3 spore glycoprotein, or glycopeptide or glycan thereof, are also described.
